I thought we had it tough with Moyes, but Saints supporters are being mentally destroyed. All they loved about their club is being destroyed in a few weeks.

If you are selling four or five key players like Southampton have already done, it sets a precedent for the rest of the squad. It's only natural for Schneiderlin to assume Southampton to dramatically sink, so I really can't blame him for wanting out.

No idea what is going on at that club but it's an absolute shambles. Shaw, Lallana, Lovren, Lambert and chambers all gone for 92M. Osvaldo listed, Shneiderlin and Rodriguez apparently wanting out. Manager gone.

Fans deserve better. Hot favourites for the drop.

I don't see why Saints fans would be so depressed. They got their new Dutch manager walking round, being all jolly and takin' photos.

Koeman has played this all wrong. Can't remember where I heard it but I read that he agreed with the board that anyone that wants to leave can leave. Now that they've shipped off half the team, other guys want out too. I can't imagine what it's like to be a Southampton fan.

They should have demanded exchanges with the transfers. Some of their players are moving on but are making moves to be squad players as opposed to regulars.

For Shaw, they could have asked for Fellaini / Anderson / Hernandez / Zaha

For Chambers - Jenkinson / Arteta

For Lovren / Lallana / Lambert - Coates / Borini / Wisdom / Kelly / Enrique / Reina

For Schneiderlin / Rodriguez - Adebayor / Dawson / Sigurdsson / Capoue / Chadli etc

Takes the piss that teams are coming back for their players with so much ease. Show some bargaining power. By even bringing up some names of opposition players you can drive the price up further.

How has it been destroyed in an hour? What hour? What happened? Bloody footballers should be banned from twitter

He wants to leave and they won't release him?

Be pretty bad to be a Southampton fan right now. They should honestly just let all those that want to leave go at this point and built a new team. They can't let this drag on as the season starts

Wages would be a problem with quite a lot of those players I imagine.

The big problem is now that most clubs now know they have over £100m to spend. Good luck getting your money's worth there.

Put yourself in the players' shoes. Receiving offers from some of the biggest clubs in the world but get forced by your current club to stay. How would that make you feel? Koeman was in a very tough situation and had to make a choice. And in fairness, they got really, really good money for all the players and have enough funds to rebuild.

I imagine bridges have been burnt now. He's probably throwing a hissy fit on twitter to help force the move.

They should be banned from twitter though. They are acting like teenagers.

They've got decent money for the players to be fair, all at a fair price I'd say. The problem with asking for these players is whether any of these guys would even go there.

What a tool. He'll move on to bigger wages and to a team in the top 8 probably.

Southampton are fecked.
I think you've missed misunderstood the tweet. He's writing this because the Saints are refusing to let him go to Spurs.

This. It's even worse than the multiple dots as a facebook status by an unhappy teenage girl that has got a white Iphone instead of black.

Yeah, thinking about it, there really is not much the Southampton board can do. Yeah they've got decent money but not he's essentially got to build a whole new team now.

Footballers should have the same rights and liberties as everyone. It's the other people who should stop overreacting to every single thing they do or say.

I think that's us being done buying a DM. Clearly states that can be taught/learned. Can really see us pushing for Cuadrado now. Most natural/gifted wingback available.

I understood the tweet, I just don't like the whole "Poor me" feeling from it. "6 years of an amazing journey destroyed."

Does he expect Southampton fans to side with him or something? They've seen their team ripped up in 6 weeks.

Surprised so many written reports omitted that part of the quote, fairly important admission.

Show some bargaining power? They got the best part of £30m out of us for Shaw, £25m for Lallana, £20m for Lovren?

They're not exactly getting mugged off price wise!!
