So now we have 4 CMs? One's good, one's useless, one no one knows what to do with, and one just recovered from a long term injury and hasn't looked the same player since, someone please help us ... please.
It most certainly will be interesting to see how it all pans out between those two. Personally I don't see Rooney lasting under van Gaal.

Anyway, the fact that Vidal has refused to pledge his future to Juventus again today speaks volumes. He's ours if we want him (and if we don't someone needs their ass kicked).
Nope he's a midfielder, normally plays behind the striker but can play deeper just as well. Can do a job out wide but it ain't his natural position.
A good attacking midfielder, I think they wanted pastore but are not gonna get him. He is just a cheaper option although if he fulfills his potential he will be a very good player. He can also play on the left as attacking midfielder like silva/nasri.
The thing is how will allegri fit him in? They apparently want a winger and a left back. It will be 4 at the back. Tevez/ morata/llorente/Giovinco upfront. So juve will have extra midfielders, i know its a long shot but it seems one of the midfielders might be available as pirlo,marchisio,asamoah,pogba,vidal,marrone,and lichestener are too many for just 2 positions.
How has that been twisted? Seems pretty much the same stuff that came out in bits and pieces.
