Really, now that we've signed this massive 'double what anyone else gets' kit deal, Adidas are gonna want some big name signings to wear them right?
I really can't see Fletcher ever being back to the form he had before his illness, and i agree with the sentimental reason you gave. Even if he did return full time, would he be good enough to get us back to the Champions League? With the way Arsenal and Chelsea are strengthening, and City being the force they are, are we guaranteed to get back into the top 4 without some quality additions? Yes Liverpool have lost Suarez, but they might, and it's a BIG might, get some great players in and fight to stick around in the top 4. Would we really have the quality to break back into that group? Carrick is a good player, but he's going to be 33 come the new season! How long can we rely on him? Will Cleverley EVER come good? I really don't think so. People saying van Gaal might be able to transform him... yes he's a good manager, but he's no miricle worker, and you can't polish a turd!Funny you should mention that "new player" tag line.. that's what good old Paddy said this evening about Fletch. I'm sorry but he was an okay player before his illness, to me it's only sentimental reasons why he still has a contract with us. He will never get back to the standards needed. Anderson is a waste of time and wages as well, need to get shot of him. Cleverley and Fellaini or no better either. I actually don't think Petrucci is all that, didn't impress last couple of loan moves, Pereira seems a better bet but how many number 10's does one team need?
I like Strootman, I like him a lot but coming back from the injury he had and pinning all our hopes on him half way through the season makes very little sense to me.
He wants the move, please everyone relax, the mail and mirror have been briefed but it's a negotiation tactic used once before for Vidal when the price was up at around 37m, we want to get him for 32 and consider the sale of Evra as 2m+ ontop. Equalling the 34m.
We hold all the cards here and we know it, Juve have spent alot of money thus far, money they don't have. Vidal will 100% be a United player it's just a matter of how much. I would be extremely shocked if they didn't sell him to us for 34 or even 32m. They need to pay for Itrube, Morata and Evra not to mention their wages.
The deal is most definitely not off by any stretch of the imagination. Woodwards pulling favours and got the media doing his job for him. The only place you should believe is anything coming out of Chile as that is where Vidal is spending his holidays.
Put the scare mongering to bed, sleep easy. It's just another way of saying "take it or leave it" Juve won't seĺl Pogba unless it's an insane fee, none of their other players would pull in a big sort of sum Vidal is the next best and believe me they will sell. Why give up guaranteed cash.
Also please remember they want Evra off us, we could easily refuse to sell to them. This is all to do with that deal too.
Muppets, take a step back, chill, it's a matter of time.

What really annoys me here though, is if we really are baulking at his £34m fee, why exactly were we prepared to spend, and actually sanction a £37m offer for Mata when we didn't need him? Yes he's an absolutely quality player, but we didn't need him. We already had Rooney and Kagawa in his preferred role. Yet Vidal, who is world class and plays in a position we are desperate to strengthen, is too expensive? Makes no sense at all, none in the slightest.

When we sign De Vrij and Blind this week, this place is in danger of exploding.
There is a lot of Vidal potential energy being built up and the result might be messy.
If we signed De Jong this week I think we'd actually hear of a few muppet-related suicides. When we sign De Vrij and Blind this week, this place is in danger of exploding.

Even with FFP sanctions in place, City will still manage to strengthen, and they can sell some of their 'rejects' for quite a bit of money and buy some more quality. Chelsea and Arsenal are going to strengthen more, it's inevitable really. It's going to be a very very tough league this season, and even with van Gaal, i can still see us struggling in quite a few positions. Even in defence, we've lost Ferdinand, Vidic and quite possibly Evra... Thats a whole crap load of experience gone, and it needs replacing with equal quality and experience. Shaw has amazing potential and i can't wait to see him play for us, but our CB options do worry me a little. But i have faith in van Gaal to get a few good players in.I think with LVG in charge that'll make us better than last season even with the same squad but yes I agree, we are still behind City/Chelsea and now Arsenal in key areas of the pitch and even with LVG it'll be hard to close that gap unless we invest heavily and cut the dead wood we have been carrying. I think Liverpool will struggle this season, ala Spurs if you like. They won't replace Suarez, he made them click.

We spent £37mil for Mata, so clearly we do.We seem to be really schizophrenic about the market. Brilliant at playing it to bring money in, but really poor at understanding the market when it comes to paying money out. Have we not learnt that if you want top class players you have to pay top prices?
Red Issue said we were going for Mourinho, about 4 minutes before Moyes was announced. Can any back up the claim that Red Issue said we've pulled out?
If this one is over, it's hilarious we're all so disappointed because the story never really got going! No reported bid, no false reports that we'd signed him, not one of the usual reliable Manchester journos have even said we're properly in for him. I'd rank this saga firmly behind the likes of Lucas/Sneijder/Thiago, but still feels as big a blow as all of them.
Is he secretly Mexican? If this information is true then either LVG has contradicted himself or LVG is going to be more livid than us. Something doesn't quite add up. I'm not throwing my toys out of the pram just yet. I'm going to eat a habanero chilli every hour in Vidal's honour until he signs.
Three things are certain in this life.

3) SolidShite will always pretend to be ITK
Numbers 1 and 2 I'm not convinced about but number 3 will always be true.Three things are certain in this life.

Yup! They are crippling us finanically. What's that? We've just signed a shirt deal worth in excess of £75mil a year? We are continually posting record profits despite having failed to secure a European spot? But..but... They're crippling us!
