To be fair Zouma was only back up after he agreed to move to Chelsea. Think he'll be loaned out anyway though.

Perrin played 34 games all from the start all at CB. Sall made 31 starts with 1 sub appearance. 2 of their 4 most played players, and they only played at CB

Zouma started the season with starts in 9 out of 11 matches but was sent off in the 12th game against Sochaux in November. After that he didn't get another game before the end of the year. He didn't play in Jan, at the end of which his Chelsea move was announced.

He's a good young player who started the season in the team and was then dropped after his red card and the other 2 CBs outperformed him. He couldnt get back in

I just don't believe we not be actively pursuing Vidal. Why wouldn't we? Seems like he just doesn't know.

I wish we had a United only transfer discussion. Nothing worse than seeing Adnan's name and going "oh, oh, OH! ... ohhhhh :( " when its news about Arsenal.

The player won't accept going to PSG to be third choice, not to mention why would PSG spend 50m euros on Luiz if they then chuck him on the bench? If Varane is leaving Real, it'll be for first team football.

I'd say PSG are freakin out about the dud they bought in Luiz, so its not beyond the realms of possibility that they're after someone else at CB aswell now..

Lets just hope they find themselves in a massive pile of shit for sticking 2 fingers up at FFP - after their ticking off.

Would be fantastic if they got banned from Europe.. Lets just pray that UEFA come down as hard as hell on them if they dont off-load players to make room for new additions!

He made mistakes like all defenders, but he plays like a 25 years old player.

He has immense potential and is a good fill in even in big games, but he did have dips of form last 2 seasons which happens more with young players.

He's fine when he has to fill in a game here or there even if it is a real big game as his concentration is up. He'd be a terrific signing for everyone but his current level gets bit overrated.

Don't forget that he has been banned for 10 games

I think they're stuck with him. I just can't see them signing another 40m+ CB signing without risking the wrath of FFP. Which imo would result in them having a massive fine and a transfer ban.

Luiz would be fine in the French league, imo. And even in most of the CL games partnered with Thiago Silva with decent protection.

Plus they have Marquinhos as backup too whose a good young talent and who Barca want to make their number 1 CB signing.

Didn't know that then.

Even if we leave him out, Adam Crafton who's generally getting everything spot on w.r.t us says he's our major target.
In fairness, Ducker didn't rule it out long term either. All he said is that the reports of an imminent transfer are wide of the mark, and explicitly stated it came from a source. I can't see why anyone should doubt that given that he's never made anything up with regards to sources before, so we really should conclude that all the Italian/Chilean reports are bollocks. Big difference between not being told something ie Herrera and making a story up and saying it came for a source.

Situations change. Hazard prefered us over City IIRC and we were offering similar, then Chelski came in and gazumped Wages and agent fees as SAF confirmed. On top of that they had won CL to gain entry into that in the meanwhile and London factor.

So all worked against us at the last moment. Same in that summer with Lucas Moura. Man that was tough. :(

We signed Zaha as the only winger after that in Winter.
Look at how it worked out for both Hazard and Moura.

Chelski no domestic title and lost CL title.
Moura not really setting the world on fire.

Would have been interesting how they would have done at United.

Understand Arsenal are no longer interested in signing Serge Aurier but he's in discussion with another Premier League club #SSN #AFC

They're stuck with him alright, but they surely must be concerned by his obvious flaws now. £50m for a dud is so laughable.

I dont think PSG give 2 shites about FFP right now. That'll change if they cant off-load players for the money they require though. There's no way they'll get £50m for Cavani - they over-paid & thats their problem. They'd be lucky to get £35m for him.

The moral of the story is - the more shit they find themselves in the better..

Hope it's us but I doubt it. He could provide Rafael with some much needed competition/cover and can also play left back. My bet is it's Liverpool who are after him.
