West Ham don't spend all your money!! You still need to buy Fellaini!!!

A United wall clock

Don't know why, I chuckle. Creative.

If you ever needed proof that 99% of shite on Twitter is total bullshit, this tweet proves it lol.

Apparently its true that we actually tried to offer Evra a one year extension (on top of the year extension triggered by the clause) and also offered to better the money offered by Juve. Don't know how true that is though.

I was wondering if we should have a football tweets thread, for memes, general articles and anything that might be interesting.

Such as this:

Also to @united_99 no problem! And, what do you think about that idea?

I quite like all the different tweets personally, but if this is to be transfer's only (makes sense, it's in the transfer forum), maybe we could save the meme, general news, etc type tweets to go with a transfer related one?

For example: "Suarez to join Barcelona" tweet, is the transfer news tweet, and then maybe there is a tweet like above that is just a little factoid type thing underneath it.

Just a thought.

We already have two twitter threads. What needs to happen is people who post tweets should focus on quality - not quantity. Tweets should be transfer related, ideally United transfer related. Meme and animated gifs don't belong in the football forums. Use them in the Gen instead.

Liverpool are stepping up their interest in Swansea striker Wilfried Bony. #LFC #Swansfc http://www1.skysports.com/transfer-centre/…

Kinda knew that already. But there ya go.

The above tweet is for this article: http://t.co/rzcxpjJzve for those that can't see it.

Also from Mike Keegan BBC:

Samir Nasri, as we reported he was set to last week, has signed a new five-year contract at #mcfc

From Kevin Palmer:

Alexis Sanchez doing his medical with Arsenal this afternoon. Stunning deal for Arsene Wenger and he got it done early for once! #AFC

@Raoul would you mind if I do posts like this one?

If Liverpool sell Suarez and replace him with Wilfried Bony i will need my sides sewing back together.

Its not the end of the world if you post it in here, but maybe it would be better to post it in a specific giggs or LvG thread in the United forum. The idea behind this thread was to post transfer tweets and brief reactions to them. It was never really intended for long posts and non-transfer related tweets.

Posters who are busy with life and don't have time to keep up with twitter should be able to swoop in here to find out the latest on all things United, as well as a few other prominent transfers of other clubs. They should not have to spend much time wading through loads of joke tweets, tweets from obviously dodgy sources, meme/animated gifs etc.

Basic guidelines:

1. Quality over quantity
2. United transfers first, football transfers second
3. Discussions should be relatively short

If we can adhere to these, this thread will be successful.

Sounds good to me!

Bony really isn't the CL quality striker they needed to get to replace Suarez. Unless they'll now go with Sturridge and change the system to use different kinds of players instead.

  • Lazio sporting director Igli Tare insists Feyenoord and Netherlands centre-back Stefan De Vrij wants to join the Rome club this summer and not Manchester United

    Sure.

    Sure.
Talk about being deluded.

Sky: We're hearing that Chile forward Alexis Sanchez has now passed his medical at Arsenal and the 25-year-old's switch from Barcelona to the Emirates should be confirmed very soon. Alexis is understood to have agreed a four-year deal and the fee will be around £32million, money that Barca will use to buy Luis Suarez from Liverpool.

Haha if we are in for him, then they have no chance.

Also, Bony is better striker than Lukaku right now probably. And about around Benteke level. Not getting the condescending tone towards signing him.

Obviously he isn't top class right now, but they aren't exactly gonna get cavani.

Will be interesting to see what Arsenal can do this summer. If they get both Sanchez and Khedira, they'll be well on their way. A good CB and a striker and they could be a real force.

Its all for nowt if they dont get a prolific poacher.

Every summer there is that one transfer that pisses me off.. this is it.

Glad Liverpool aren't improving the areas they actually need to.
