RVP clearly the only established penalty take with the balls to take the first pen.

Robben and Sneijder nailed on for the two who refused.

It's a shame because with RVP and Krul on the pitch they'd have won the shootout.

Its still a lottery. They couldn't score for 240 mins in consecutive games so their lack of quality was always going to show sooner or later.

Fantastic if true. Quite a whirlwind schedule including jet lag to go from Brazil to England to California.

Yeah the shortest flight is Brazil to LA but I guess the club wanted to do a formal presentation in Manchester before he addresses the media abroad.

Surely we aren't put of by 37M if anything that's a bargain.

Can we please stop posting that "Put off by 37m" nonsense. It's all from the same source (some tabloid) and it's clearly drivel.

Pay £30m for an 18 year old left back and balk at £37m for the best midfielder in the world. pff.

Yeah there's simply no way we would be "put off" by 37 million for Arturo Vidal. Absolute nonsense is all it is.

:lol::lol::lol:

We paid £30million for an 18 year old left back, but some idiots claim we are put off Vidal (Who happens to be one of the best midfielders in the world) because of his £37million pound price tag haha, talk about stealing a living.
:lol::lol: This!

Haven't you lot ever had a girlfriend? This is just like negotiating special birthday sex. You start off by asking for three shags, two blow jobs and anal (order tbc). Eventually, after much haggling, shouting (her), crying (you) and threats (her) you end up agreeing on a chippy dinner, a movie of your choice that she'll fall asleep during, and a half-hearted hand job (her).

I sort of lost my train of thought in all of that, so I'm not sure what Vidal is in that analogy, but I think it's fair to say this is on.
:lol:

I think unless we have something to do with Vidal, we won't have sold Evra. Doesn't make sense when we have already lost so much of experience and also there is no back up at LB.

Well, Evra could have requested a move to Juve, which we would definitely consider without having anything to do with Vidal.

He could very well not be happy with the arrival of Shaw.

Yep, as good as it'd be for us and Shaw to have him mentoring and deputising where needed, it's probably not good for a guy who has been a 100% starter for 8 or so years to now be second choice to a kid.

People are always shouting how much Evra loves United and all. I am sure he can have stay back to mentor Shaw. Its not like we have treated badly or anything even after being poor for large parts in last 2 seasons.

Dennis Irwin moved to Wolves, I'm sure he loved United too. What's Evra's love for United have to do with him moving on from the club at 34 especially after 'being poor for large parts in two seasons' ? You seem to be confused.
