If they are not selling us Vidal and we actually do want him, we shouldn't sell Evra to them. Principles.

Absolutely. That is what I meant when I said, we could use Evra as a sweetener and even let him go for peanuts if they are willing to negotiate for Vidal properly.

Or they could see Vidal to us, thereby being able to repay the 10m back to Chelsea knowing full well that Pogbas price will only increase by next summer. Give them a cut deal on Evra as part of the bargain. That's a much better long term solution than selling Pogba for under his valuation.

It won't as he will only have 12 months left and i am pretty damn sure he won't resign.

He would be going for peanuts anyway by the look of it. I disagree with all this sweetener and if we don't get Vidal they cant have Evra stuff. Evra is 33, declining and unlikely to be first choice for us this season. He is valuable to us in terms of experience, but that is more likely to be OFF of the pitch now, in the dressing room. I don't think other than getting us talking to Juventus it will have any bearing on a deal for Vidal what so ever once we start talking, neither should it. It is simply a case with both players of whether the player will be sold for the right price and the other club will meet it and if the player wants to do the move, simple as that.

What a superb piece of business that would be for Arsenal. Would immediately make them contenders.
They weren't far off winning the league last season to be honest. If they can get Sanchez and add a striker, which I have no doubt they will, then they will be right up there again

I'd be happy with Depay. He's young, van Gaal knows him very well and he'll save a few quid as oppose to other wide options we may be considering.

How come?

Whilst I think he is a good player, that is about all I think of him, he isn't someone who is going to improve us and for the 15-20 million euros range ? I feel the money can be used to get a player of proven quality right now, whilst affording some chances to our current young players who have shown themselves to be worthy of a chance like Lingard and Lawrence

Fair point, but if LvG sees something in him than I'm all for it, he should know after all.

Waiting now for all the team combinations fitting him in our midfield:lol:
