A bit lenient, but still enough to just pacify most. What about mandatory therapeutic treatment. That little interview with Oliver Kahn was quite to the point: Suarez can't handle pressure. He explodes. And the likelihood of re-offending in the same manner is quite high. He seriously needs help.

Oh he'll be getting that alright. He's a very expensive asset and his club (whoever that might be) will do everything they can to sort his head out. Won't do any good, mind you. He's bad, not mad.

Ducker says Herrera annoucement will happen in the next 24 hours. Can't link the Tweet as I'm at work.

Not sure. FIFA woman was very clear on this.

Well it's why Barca do not have a transfer ban this year. They've appealed to CAS.

Don't see the point of an appeal if the punishment is served before an appeal can be heard?

I agree, it seems controversial but that's what she said. She was very clear on that.

So the original Friday announcement still stands. A good start to the weekend I guess and they are announcing when there are no WC games.

I hope to God Uruguay appeal against the ban and lose so that the ban only comes into effect in July/August, meaning he'll miss more Liverpool games.

Am I being too greedy?

I'm not sure it's that black and white Pogue. He's not a lost cause, he's just programmed in this way, he doesn't handle pressure and totally freaks out. I think it can be rectified but his profession doesn't really make it an easy task.

I'm speculating, to be fair. Just think it's unlikely to be a treatable mental illness. I know for a fact that Liverpool have had some fairly high powered shrinks working with him since he bit Ivanovic. If all that work didn't take, I'd say it's unlikely someone will sort him out now. Most likely a fundamental flaw in his personality, which is really hard to "treat". His best hope is growing up a bit and maturing as a person. Probably be in his 40s by then.

I'd rather he stayed this summer, misses 1/4 of the season, probably does something else wrong, and then forces a move next year.

Hopefully by then Liverpool aren't in the Champions League spaces any longer, and their chances of replacing him with somebody top quality are reduced.

Who would buy him with that ban?
If he was willing to waive his wages for the remainder of the ban, I'd imagine the ban in itself won't stop Barca from buying him. Would be like buying a player with a minor injury. The question is, does any club want to be associated with him and his behavior? This is a guy who can potentially cost you fans and sponsors.

I would be more than happy if Barca sign him as long as Alexis Sanchez isn't involved in the deal.

Seen a well folliwed LFc fan on twitter, he's angry with Suarez and a lot of the other Liverpool fans think they should sell him.
