Probably not for Reus but I don't see why Muller would be lying and we must have at least had contact with his agent.

I think muller quotes have been bit lost in translation or something. He didn't mention United but was responding to a question mentioning United.

Dunno though it might have been worth a try for both and now we are covering.

Chelsea would have had some summer if they bought him.

If they were going to get him I think they'd have done it by now.

He's been available all summer for the right price it seems. Chelsea aren't generally a club to hang around if they can help it.

I don't think Chelsea can sign him, they're already over the limit for foreign players. It will mean they would have to sell Cech and one more.

They would love to get rid of Torres but who would have him!

Do Chelsea have room for him? If not, I'm hoping he's coming to us.

They have an ageing Terry, Cahill, Zouma and Ivanovic who can play there. Mourinho has already claimed he isn't interested in Benatia and is willing to give Christenen(sp) a chance in the first team. I think its Arsenal who are probably interested in him, given their lack of options at centre back and Wenger himself saying he would go for a centre back if Vermaelen leaves. That could be Manolas but I am not so sure about that. It also wouldn't surprise me in the least if Jose went back on his word, signed Benatia and sent Zouma on loan while leaving Christensen to rot in the reserves.

He told you all he could.

Sounds like Mackay is a bit of a cnut, but nobody would say anything more.

I found the tweet from De Brun a bit odd. People asked him for more info but he said he can't say more.

Aren't United's offices' in London? Adding fuel to the fire for you transfer muppets...

Chelsea are set to gazump both Manchester United and Arsenal in order to sign £35million Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho (A Bola)

As a United fan I hope we'll get him, as a Roma fan I hope he'll fe.k of soon cause there has been talk about him leaving all sumer, one good year at Roma and he wants to go. Bye bye then.

So the club goes out and denies we're interested or have bid for the likes of Vidal, Reus etc.

Well, why the hell not? You can talk as much as you want about bringing the best in the world to the club, but it's just loose babble if you don't actually do anything.

Tbf there were reports about Roma reneging upon their word to give Benatia a better contract that he deserves if they got into the Champions league.

What a summer this is going to end up being for Chelsea. It's already been brilliantly for them.

They could get a top defender, central midfielder and striker in the same window.

The players obviously aren't out there, that why we haven't bid for anyone. Where out there is, I don't know. Which players who knows. Only Ed knows.

Maybe out there is this space we are all supposed to watch.

If Benatia's reps are flying to London to do a deal for us to get him, why did Rojo fly to Manchester to complete his deal?

Rojo went to Manchester to sign his contract and complete a medical. The negotiations over his transfer could have occurred anywhere.

Article on RMC Sport says Liverpool intend to take Falcao on loan initially for a loan-fee of £12M with a buy-option for £40M.

I thought they offered him a new deal?

At the end of the last one, his star was in the ascendancy. Already of interest to Europe’s traditional elite, Benatia was even more so now. He knows his worth. When he joined Roma, he did so against his agent’s better judgement. “The contract was low with respect to the other offers [€1.6m a year net],” Benatia admitted to La Gazzetta, “and I wouldn’t be playing in the cups. I signed all the same and have never regretted it. There was a project. I liked the idea of it.”

Yet he insists a promise was made. “Before signing for them, Roma said to me: ‘Bena, we know you deserve more and you have refused a lot of money. Come, show that you’re worth it at Roma and if we get into the Champions League or win the Scudetto we’ll give you a good contract’.” Roma kept their word. “But,” in Benatia’s words, “an unacceptable offer was made. I’ve heard it said I asked for €4m a year. I didn’t even ask for €3m.”
