The satisfaction transfer muppets feel when we sign a player can be measured in seconds these days. Also, if we're not bringing in every top name we've been linked to, regardless of who's been brought in, they'll consider it a failure.
Signing Ozil instead of Higuain was not clever. Arsene has cocked it up not getting in a top striker regardless of the Sanchez transfer.

Definately over paid for Fellaini and arguably the other two as well but your second sentence is perhaps harsh on Woodward. Van Gall pretty much said he wanted to assess the playes and at lunch he told them some will go some will come and now they know there targets etc etc. The world cup and tour of America has been awkward circumstances. I hope we have something lined up, as all the transfer talk is outgoing players, would people really be happy if we culled these players BUT signed Blind and De Jong for example as though I agree its about time dead wood was culled, I dont agree that cullin gthem and signing these two players makes us stronger at all?

Didn't realise Woody was in charge of squad selection, training and substitutions. Our lacklustre start lies with the players and LVG.
We had the same crap last year with everyone blaming Woodward. He can only sign players the manger asks for and the selling club are willing to negotiate over. At no point have we shown any real interest in Vidal yet Ed is being blamed for not signing him. It's fairly obvious LVG wasn't willing to spend until he had fully assessed the squad. He said that would take around a month, and after that month was up we have been signing players relatively quickly with minimum fuss.
There's no way Gill or Fergie would have sanctioned these signings. Yes we may have over paid slightly but that is down to our neglect of the first team over the last 3-5 years and teams taking us to the cleaners as they know we have to sign for certain positions. I'd also argue we've only overpaid for Shaw, we had no control over Herrera's fee due to the buyout clause, same with Rojo, by all accounts Woodward brought the ADM price down by 10-15 million too. Plus United have always paid premium for players.
The Woodward jabs and jokes have become more tiresome than Anderson is fat jokes.
