They really are doing the City thing of buying better players with the shit ones still there. Only they've managed to do it in the space of one transfer window, and the shit players they'll probably now want rid of have barely played 2 games for the club.

@IJTaylor81
#QPR have reached agreement with Real Madrid for the permanent transfer of midfielder Esteban Granero.

The deal is subject to (Esteban) Granero agreeing personal terms and passing a medical. Further updates to follow on @OfficialQPR #QPR

Jesus H Christ they are really going for it in this window arent they? They will have some wage bill at the end of it all. I hope they manage to pull it off and stay hope for their sake. :nervous:

I'd love to see them get relegated really. The only thing slightly stopping me from wanting it is Park being there.

A lot of journalists are talking about Maicon to City being a done deal. Seems a strange deal to me. When I've seen him of late he looks like he's past his best, and you'd think it wouldn't do Richards any favours in terms of getting games with both Zabaleta and Maicon there.

May fit in better if City stick with their 3 defenders at the back.

Last time I watched Maicon though he was awful.

Anyone seen this lad play?

Tony Barrett ‏@TonyBarretTimes
Liverpool are set to sign Samed Yesil, an 18 year old forward, from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee in the region of £1 million.

£1 million seems low to me for a player of Yesil's potential & reputation. That was the figure I was quoted but it could be higher.

How much money do QPR actually have?

They are owned by tony fernandes, the man also bank rolling the lotus formula 1 team. Safe to say hes got plenty of money to support this.

Not quite a Abramovich / sheikh, but enough to bring them much higher up the league.

Is Barrett just a scouse mouthpiece? He rates every player they sign as better than Jesus.

To be fair, there is little documentary evidence that Jesus (Christ, that is) was any good at football. Decent first touch, although that's only according to a few lepers, and mates with Judas although this is before Judas hit the big time with West Ham.

His propensity for 'Reebok Nazareth' sandals probably didn't help, although in answer to the perennial 'could he do it on a rainy Tuesday evening in Stoke?', being able to walk on water obviously helps.

Richards is out until Christmas - according to my City supporting mate. Still no idea why they'd want Maicon now.

Maybe they are looking to play Richards centrally.

He's a Liverpool fan, what do you expect. Times have an all liverpool lineup with Barrett, Kay, Rory Smith and one fat journalist whose name I can't remember at the moment.

He was the real player of the tournament at the U17 World Cup last year (FIFA of course gave the award to some joker from the Mexican team) with six goals and six assists in seven matches. Has Turkish roots but has already stated his desire to play for Germany at senior level.

He was very good technically, good at finding space, and passed the ball both neatly and incisively. For £1m Liverpool have got themselves a very good deal.

After the smalltime reaction of their supporters for the City winner, against their own side...they can feck off and rot for all I give a feck.

Hope they go down.

Of course not. We have 2 38+ years old players, a player with a serious chronic illness, an underperformer who is injured easily, Cleverley and Carrick. Why would we need anyone else?

What we need is another CB and ST, maybe throw in a winger or two.

It's part of Mancini's plan to ensure that not a single Man City youth player is in his squad.

Not twitter, but a similar grade of Spanish gossip. Macheda has been offered around a number of Spanish clubs including Elche (Liga 2).

I'm dubious of the Elche aspect, but I'm not surprised by the Spanish one. In fact if I was making up a rumour I'd suggest Malaga or Levante or a whole bunch of Liga 1 clubs who need players - though only if his wages are subsidised.

Nani has been told that he will not be sold by Manchester United in the current transfer window. #MUFC #POR

Sounds plausible. It would be madness to sell him.
