Turn the Caf Green and Gold

I doubt you'll find anyone who says they love them but I also doubt the 'majority of the forum' agrees on it either. Given the forum has over 40,000 members you also don't see many who express hate for them, just a small sub section of less than 1% of the board who frequent the place regularly and are passionate and therefore post often and therefore gives the impression that everyone hates them. I would wager that most are indifferent. When this happened last time, you had sub sections of fans become overnight financial experts bringing out years of filings to show us how on line 89 sub section 5 paragraph 36 there were benefits they had brought us, you had other sections of fans who disregarded all of that and just wanted them out even if as the first group said it would hurt us financially, you had others who didn't care but getting attacked anyway and both sides were scapegoating, cherry picking information, floating misinformation about and the whole fecking thing was pointless anyway because nothing happened. All it did was make this place a toxic place to visit.
They have just bowed to fan pressure. This would add it to it. No genuine argument against it.

Please don’t.

The whole thought process behind green and gold till the club is sold is nonsensical bollocks. Lots of different types of ownership wanted to be in the super league, and a sale to the Saudis would be one dog shit victory.

A new slogan is needed for reform in football not just at Manchester United.

Yeah, no. If your neighbour wants to hang a giant inflatable dick on his porch and the neighbours talk him down, it isn't logical to believe that if they ask him to sell his house he'll do it because they already got him to listen one time.

Do you know that the Saudi's Public Investments Funds is headed by MBS ?. He's loaded! Yes there was controversy around the whole Khashoggi shenanigans plus the collapse of NUFC take over. His public image was at it lowest point. However, The 'scum' Glazers are known to be close to his circle as they fly to Saudi Arabia yearly to do publicized economic summits. While glamouring and admiring all his riches you'd bet he's Glazers number one to go to guy in case of an emergency sell. He's a business man but this move if it happened will be to clean his public image.

He'll take care of this club if he bought it. if you're not impressed by the humongous foot print that was left by the UAE owners then believe me the Saudi's can do 10 times better. He wants to be known as a good guy in History and the Public love him dearly. as of late He's been putting his focus on progressing his huge plans for 'Vision 2030'. Realistically, a cleaner image is still needed and this time the Glazers want to sell. He brought Players from Europe like Banega and Ighalo to a club named Alshbab, a well run club but with a small fanbase. He wants his money to be spent right. For example, if he's the potential buyer the first act will be to revamp Old Trafford. He's Royalty not a money chasing little weasel and will have the best CEO to run this facility.

The last few days were soul destroying for the fans and I'd not want anybody to go throw it again with MBS or whomever. We shouldn't be ashamed as United fans as we have been put in this stupid conundrum because of the 'scum' glazers. I'm a proud United fan whom have immersed deeply into this club's culture and its tremendous history. I've been a fan for 20 years and never missed a match since I was 13. Get the Green & Gold to a new level and get the Glazers out!!

Yes there was controversy over him murdering a man, but hey ho, he’s well rich innit.

I'm not wasting my time on this subject. There's a thin blue line that separates a person from being a convicted murderer to squeaky clean no record person. You could stamp a name on it and call it whatever. You could scream "Justice" to the whole world or you could say it's a cover up. It's your opinion. There's nothing on his record. Just like the whole Bill Clinton Who, allegedly, have never been to one of Epstines orgy islands. even though there were eye witnesses that saw him there.

I'm not on his side or against. My loyalty to United is higher than what you think of but I'm trying to be as realistic as I could be. Isn't it a common knowledge in the western society that your innocent until proven guilty? is it? So whenever you want to stark up a conversion about it you can use the same route and procedures and see where it'll lead you. If you end up empty handed with nothing solid to stand on then it's your word against his. Look up how many alleged crimes have been committed by Manssour of Abu Dhabi and his family.

Dose your moral campus always work on every character accordingly? or is it by choice? Ask yourself this question and please be sincere about it as I'm not accusing you of anything. I'm just testing the waters.

MBS is as evil as they come, and just so you're aware, there's no comparing cutting up someone in small pieces for free speech to having an affair. You're the one who needs to work on the moral compass here.

If you care about your club, you'd not want them represented by MBS.

MBS can go fellate his father.

51% fan ownership legislated by government is the best option, if that ever happens. But if we do sell, anyone but the Saudi's

Would you've liked Manssour of Abu Dhabi as representative? Khaldoon as CEO? MBS have high standards. The standards that we all have demanded from the players. have you seen any impressive progression in both PSG's &City's Camps of late? are they going into the right or wrong direction? Will they leave the club in a better state or worse?

Realistically speaking give me the most possible scenario that would be the best outcome of what happened of late? stick with the Glazers who've shown their true colors or MBS?

51+ will take time and it might work for MBS as well.

Let's be real about it.

I don't give a feck about their professional standards, what is clear is that they are evil people against human rights, against free speech and they want to use our club as a vehicle for sports washing and creating a fake image about their legacy. They can feck right off.

My moral compass says evil cnuts who chop people up into small pieces because they don’t like free speech can go feck themselves up the arse with a rusty serrated knife.

I love seeing the amount of hypocrisy in this forum regarding MBS, acting like saints opposing the takeover when their own heads of state/governments have killed far more innocent people. Maybe you lot need to move to Nepal or Hawaii. What with your ethics and all.

Green and gold failed.

We should acknowledge that and initiate something new and fresh that fans can actually get behind and might actually be effective. One of the problems with those who always seem at the forefront of campaigns is their complete lack of willingness to admit when they make mistakes. If this latest push fails and in 40 years time Glazer grandkids are pulling the strings and they do something we don't like will we turn the Caf green and gold again? 27th time lucky?

As fans we should have looked at why 'Green and Gold' failed, because there are reasons. But proponents don't want to hear it but are determined to hijack any future, legitimate protests against the owners by hoisting it to the front of the stage.

ESL protests should not be hijacked by those who see it as a chance to end a decade long battle for vindication. But that's exactly what's happening. The irony being these people will be the first to scream doubters of their methods aren't 'real fans' but in reality they'll be the reason why the protests fail because their stubbornness refuses to learn the lessons from last time and instead insist everyone has to do the same shit we did last time, pretend it didn't fail and...'shut up you're not a real fan', or something

It's only hypocrisy if you have no critical thinking and the mental ability of a child. What does anyone's governments have to do with anything. No-one is asking for the US/UK government to take over United. These kind of arguments are completely mental.

Yet the majority of people live there, love their country, I don't see English people not supporting England in the world cup cos their head of state drops bombs in Iraq and Syria. Or could it be that the English and Americans are allowed to kill innocent people ?

The point here is it's hypocritical to support your country in a world cup and then refuse to support United if MBS took over, especially when your country has killed way more innocent people in pointless wars. If only people cared who ran their own country more than who ran United maybe the Middle East would be peaceful.

fecking hell, shenanigans.

Same old discussion. Comes down to what kind of hypocrisy is ok with oneself. For some, MBS and his team sponsoring the team is a strict no no, but some businessman who props up govt., who in turn provide support and ammunition to the likes of MBS or overthrow leaders in foreign countries is an ok owner. For some it is all the same.

So it all comes down to personal choices really.

fecking hell how many times does this sort of ill thought out nonsense get posted over and over again in defence of cnuts like the Saudis Royals taking over football clubs.

Well yeah some people have morals and principles and some don't.

I'm not actually in favour of the Saudis, I'm just pointing out blatant hypocrisy from fans (especially English). A lot of you think you live in some fairy tale country that have never hurt a fly. But like I said it's ok when your people are doing the killing, since the UK and America are the world police. MBS hasn't killed 1% of the innocent people your heads of states have killed but that's something you choose to turn a blind eye to and a discussion you don't want to have.

Yeah and I'd wager 99.9% of the people who would be against the Saudi's owning the club wouldn't be in favour of the UK or US governments owning it either for the reasons you mention (surely you realize that?). So it's not even a rational discussion to have in relation to football club ownership, there's no hypocrisy. It's a nonsensical argument and it baffles and frustrates people that it keeps getting regurgitated in these types of discussions.

If you feel the need to discuss the various war crimes of the US, UK and Saudi governments yeah feel free to start a thread on it in the current events forum. But it has little or no relevance to any discussion relating to potential new owners of Manchester United Football Club.

I'm not English btw mate, I'm Irish.

Has anyone mentioned the accessibility implications of a green and gold caf yet?

Dunno I think it looks really good like.

Blinded by the light.

But at least we know how Gizmo felt, so there's that.

The British government doesn't own the English national football team for goodness sake.

The rest of your post is just gibberish, as if you know anything about the "people" you are talking down to.

I'm English mate, I was just trying to point out some peoples hypocrisy but tbf @stevoc made a good point and I agree with him.

Deep-cover Glazer stooge showing his true colors.

Run him out of town, boys.

Seriously though, any particular reason(s) why not?
It does diddly squat. As did the original yellow and green. They paid no care to it.
The only thing they care about is money. Once covid allows it, the match goers need to stop going. Simple as that. Only I know it’s not simple because at the same time you’re all transfer muppets and all have expectations of United. You all need to be prepared to run United into the ground for as long as it takes. That’s all they care about, the bottom line

Totally agree, and that is not going to happen.
