No amount of cronies or strategy would be a good one if he fired Mueller. The minute that happens his Presidency is virtually over.

That seems to be the growing sentiment. The investigation has gone too deep at this point in terms of indictments and public perception, to where attempting to stop it would be widely perceived as an attempt to obstruct justice. It would also guarantee a Dem wave this November (which may happen anyway, but in this case it would happen in much greater numbers).

Steele talked at length with Mueller’s investigators in September. It isn’t known what they discussed, but, given the seriousness with which Steele views the subject, those who know him suspect that he shared many of his sources, and much else, with the Mueller team.

One subject that Steele is believed to have discussed with Mueller’s investigators is a memo that he wrote in late November, 2016, after his contract with Fusion had ended. This memo, which did not surface publicly with the others, is shorter than the rest, and is based on one source, described as “a senior Russian official.” The official said that he was merely relaying talk circulating in the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but what he’d heard was astonishing: people were saying that the Kremlin had intervened to block Trump’s initial choice for Secretary of State, Mitt Romney. (During Romney’s run for the White House in 2012, he was notably hawkish on Russia, calling it the single greatest threat to the U.S.)

I only just read about her and the connection to some of the Russians - Deripaska I believe is the main one. It sounds crazy on the surface and it could just be a plea for attention to help her when she needs it but I'd have to think Mueller & Co will at least do some diligence on this. Her social media history at least gives it some credibility already.
 
How long before Trump describes him as a nobody who barely had anything to do with the campaign?

It’s interesting that there seems to be a consensus across the board right now that Mueller is asking a lot of questions he already knows the answers to. I’ve noticed a lot of people saying as much over the last few weeks and now hearing Nunberg saying that he thinks they must have something on Trump “because of the questions they were asking”, it kinda confirms that.

I think Mueller has Trump nailed already, he just wants to continue the investigations and see just how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I sense he has most of the answers already and is just lining up his best witnesses to complement his existing evidence. Once he gets Manafort, he will drop some bombs on Kushner and Trump.
 
Odd thing for an adult man refusing to rat out a man that's proven to have zero loyalty to anyone other than himself and his daughter (fully believe he'd throw his sons under the bus without hesitation).
 
Sam Nunberg's a total idiot in fairness. His assessment of anything is hopelessly coloured by his complete inability to use reason when speaking. He just says things.
 
In a later CNN interview on Monday, Nunberg alleged that Trump knew about the now-infamous June 2016 meeting between Trump campaign officials — including Donald Trump Jr., Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner — and reportedly Kremlin-connected Russians, who promised damaging opposition research on then-candidate Hillary Clinton.

"He talked about it a week before," Nunberg said of Trump. "All he had to say was, 'Yeah, we met with the Russians. The Russians offered us something and we thought they had something and that was it.' I don't know why he went around trying to hide."

No he's been saying stupid things like that basically every time he's been on TV. You'd lose count of the number of baseless claims he's made just from his relatively small number of interviews, if you could even follow what he's saying half the time. At least he has the humility to say he actually doesn't know anything. That gets lost in these snippets.
 
Nunberg showing all the signs, repetition, throaty, emotional triggers, of a man who has had too much to drink.
 
Watching Numberg on MSNBC right now. And he comes across as a bit like his mentor (his words) Rodger Stone.
