Given the importance of full backs now in the game, just makes total sense for United to go the extra mile and splash out on Wan-Bissaka, not a short term solution like Trippier.
Trippier is made for Harry Kane. A match in heaven. Kane is a top quality header, reason why you have a good precise crosser in Trippier. Somebody are just meant for each others. Lukaku is big and tall too. But not sure he will stay. But that is my point. You get to have a really good header in the box or a clinical finisher. Its Kane time at Spurs, then its get to be a good crosser there too. And they have it in Trippier.
He really isn't - on paper possibly but in practice 90% of Trippiers crosses are misplaced and his defending is absolutely shocking. Kane is good in the air but he isn't a big lumping target man in the way Llorente is who only works if you get crosses into the box.
This, also factoring in that Trippier's best position is as a wingback with a centre half to occupy his space so they can double up on the inside of the flanks. We thankfully don't play a system with three at the back Trippier is calamitous in a back four. He offers nothing defensively and will mirror Dalot in this regard.
They both belong further up with the pitch or with defensive assistance for their incompetence. The good news with Dalot is he has speed to accommodate his attacking play, Trippier is slow and small.
Also to add that Solskjaer's specifically highlighted spurs weakness in fullbacks earlier in January, it was Ben Davies and Kieran who got taken to the cleaners when isolated with our front line.

Such a weird transfer. He is decent going forward and has a really good set piece but he cant defend at all. That is totally not Atletico and Simeone.
I think this is true, he had a shite season last time around but he’s a good player. Our midfield gave our fullbacks no protection at all, he made some high level mistakes but served us well for the course of career, time for him to move on, I think he will do very well in Spain no where near the intensity of the PL.
