Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

City are getting £12m for Bony, even in this market that is top business from City.
I think it's poor business from City, they bought him for £30m which was a panic buy in a January window. They were also paying him £100k a week and he's still only 28 years old, imo Swansea have the better deal.

If Arsenal spend 90m on Lemar, and Chelsea spend 45 on Mahrez, then Chelsea, City, Arsenal and Liverpool will have spent more money than United this transfer window.

BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein said earlier that Arsenal have no major money available for a transfer. Now they're bidding £90 million? Guess Sanchez must be off.

Have you watched him recently? He had an absolute stinker of a loan spell at Stoke, I'd be surprised if he reaches 10 goals.

That won't fit in with the idea Mourinho is simply a cheque book manager.
Also doesnt fit with the idea that United can outspend anyone. See? It's a double edged sword statement that anyone can play with...

Meh, if we'd bought him a month ago everyone would be calling it an amazing early buy.
But you didn't, and you've barely been linked with him which indicates you haven't exactly been chasing him all summer.

Then there's his position. Pedro and William both play in his position. I'm not saying ones better than the other, but it's hardly a position you'd need to spend £40m+ on. Just seems you're spending money for the sake of it here.

It's hardly controversial to try to have 2 good players for each position. We have PL, FA, LC and CL to play this year, and only Hazard, Pedro and Willian for the 2 winger slots, with a youngster as backup. Mahrez would make perfect sense.

If this happens along with the alleged Mbappe deal, Monaco will have lost Lemar, Mbappe, Bernardo, Mendy and Bakayoko in the same window.

Now that is what I call a ransacking.

But that's how Monaco operate. Find the youngest, yet talented players and guarantee them first team football for a 1 to 3 years then sell them for a massive profit. They'll have players to compete in Ligue 1 and give it a go, but it's not as if the cupboard is suddenly barren.
