Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Remember when PSG offered something feckoff like 70mil for Januzaj :( We could have robbed them blind.

Not a single journo knows what the feck is going on with us, Di Marzio included, if this is true.

How could they know? United are always tight-lipped in transfer issues. All this information comes from either outside sources or pure fantasy from the media.

So if we buy him, we are buying him so that he sits on the bench? That doesn't even make sense.

I have watched him a couple of times, and I'm sure he will start ahead of Martial.
I'm not saying that. We shouldn't buy him period. He's not good enough

I wrote him off the moment he made an issue out of his shirt number.

I'm surprised a majority on here haven't woken up yet. It's not going to work out.

How do you know that it's not going to work out? You wrote him off cause he had an issue with his number being to a player who was going to stay for maximum 2 years? Maybe you forgot his first season.

But he is no where near Lukaku in goal stats.

Lukaku is the Caf's latest ignorance magnet. The guy is just banging the goals in for a team no where near as good as ours, and yet somehow isn't good enough for us because he doesn't have the first touch of Jesus. He'd be fecking monstrous for us, and let's be honest, suits Mourinho's direct style to a tee.

Even dafter is the clamouring we got for players like Silva, who is completely unsuited to the direct counter attacking, and physical style we play.

In theory it's pretty, but being practical you've got to go for players that suit your system. Lukaku does that. Bale does that. Etc.

Ballbag has got this weird obsession where he has to put a Utd related comment in 80% of his tweets.

In hindsight yeah. But back then United fans were convinced he was going to be a superstar. There would have been riots if he was sold.

I know, I was one of his defenders. Never felt so let down by a player. At least with Ravel Morrison I always expected him to self-destruct.

Morata would be excellent. Far more ability on the ball than Lukaku.

All good and well having the ability, but ability doesn't win you games, goals do.

Morata has scored 15+ league only once, and that was this season.

Lukaku, on the other hand, has scored 15+ goals four of the five seasons in the EPL and he's only 23.

I do really like Morata, but I'm not sure he would be a consistent goalscorer for us.

Having said that, with Dembele looking likely to go to Milan, maybe Morata is going elsewhere, unless they're getting both.
