Only because they already said 100 would be too low, so offering less is an insult.
Yes, after what Watzke said. Also, it is a bit simplistic calling him a 2-season player. He's immensely talented and with the prices players have gone for this window, the 220m windfall Barca have got, and the valuation of Mbappe who is a "6-month player", 70m is very very low.
Dembele has proved himself in 2 different leagues already. Calling him a 2 season player is perhaps undermining his talent. I have no doubt he would be great at his next club as well because he has shown he can adapt fairly well.
I am disappointed that we haven't made a move for him. This is the sort of signing we should be going after rather than the likes of Perisic to be honest.
Don't see any reason Monaco would agree to sell Mbappe to PSG of all clubs when there are clearly other clubs willing to pay huge amounts for him. Doubt they care too much what Nike want frankly.

Except 70m euros is not a million miles away from 100m. Im pretty sure if he goes there it will likely be in between those 2 figures too.
Neymar moved at approx the same age as Dembele to Barcelona 4 years ago to a sum that I am guessing is somewhere close to 80 million Euros(not sure if its even more than that considering Barca never admitted to how much they paid) so I would say its perfectly reasonable for BvB to expect a fee close to 100 million Euros.

For me Dembele is the best young talent available in European football now. He's better than Mbappe and had the ability to be a future Balon for winner imo, brilliant dribbling and great pace plus the fact that when he plays he often looks like the best player on the field all point towards his amazing talent.

Gone from ambivalent to kind of really hoping this happens. You need cover at fullback these days, and if we hold the cards when negotiating a price for once, it could be a fairly low-risk acquisition in a position that's particularly high-energy and will always need cover.
