That'll soon change when he gets started.
I agree, and was going to say the same, but it's nice to see how highly they rate Navas.

Literally haven't got a clue how those two posts are connected. But errrm, okay?
Not technically transfer news, so i'll spoiler it.
Gives DDG an early indication into life at Madrid.
Or he has a bit of a shaky start, and the supporters destroy him for it.Once he starts to make absolutely outrageous saves, then they'll be changing their minds about this. De Gea is just absolute class. Probably one of the greatest goalkeepers i've ever seen, and look how old he is.
Madrid have some weird fans, weren't they chanting for De Gea during the unvieling of a player earlier this summer? One great performance from Navas and suddenly they don't want De Gea anymore!Once he starts to make absolutely outrageous saves, then they'll be changing their minds about this. I agree. If he starts to fail under pressure then he'll be destroyed by the fans a la Bale last season at times, but I don't think he will have any issues. The spanish league is very favourable for goalkeepers. They get so much protection from referees for example.Or he has a bit of a shaky start, and the supporters destroy him for it.
The Madrid derby will be interesting though, i wonder how the Athletico supporters will greet him

I'd take that. Leave all the hysteria aside and we would have a really strong squad full of options if that happened.Zlatan & Mane anyone?
Agreed. As much as I think we have got the best deal possible, he is absolute class and will do really well. The one thing that was said about DDG when he joined was that he was unflappable and supremely confident. He went to a new country as a young man and was instantly written-off etc and look how it turned out.
There's not a chance he won't be a success.
First time in days the twitter thread is halfway down the front page of the forum. Are we all twattered out?
The last 24 hours have been crazy, I think everyone is resting up for the madness that will be tomorrow!First time in days the twitter thread is halfway down the front page of the forum. Are we all twattered out?
Leaving it late aren't they? (Real Madrid that is)
Nah it's all done and dusted, probably has been for the last hour or so, there's just more relevant things for them to do rather than announce it to the world
Looks like the DDG deal might not make it in time. 2 minutes to midnight in spain
