I don't see what's hard to understand? United have clearly been looking for 1 big name who can make a difference. We've enquired about Bale, Muller and now Neymar as well. Doesn't mean we will sign any of them, just that we've asked the question. Do the sun want to report that? Of course they do, it sells papers!

Absolutely. We could and should have signed him earlier. But we dilly-dallied. Chelsea come in and bang, transfer done. No messing. They showed they wanted him. It was an absolute no-brainer for him to sign for Chelsea.

I dont know what to think about the Muller bids as Bild said we bid 100 mil for him..then a week later say we have bid 85 mil..our we decreasing our bids or are they making things up..We might have an interest but not actually have bidded..Seeing as we arent getting Muller, I hope we have someone else in mind

It's not a question of money though. He's been talking about pace but also players better then what we have, so ideally United want that marqee signing but that prob wont happen this summer.
So we can probably guess which side of the situation served as the source of the Sun's story - we should make a point of denying these type of links unless we are paid commission by the agent once the player has renewed with his existing club.

Well LvG will have to deal with the squad and the results if he fails to deliver. At the end of the day it's him who will leave if we'll have a disappointing season. With the attack we field right now, I'm not too optimistic.
Yep. We need a forward to challenge for the league. We have made improvements in midfield and defence but it won't be enough to finish 1st/2nd unless we improve a lot upfront, and the only way I see us doing that is entering the transfer market.
