Hopefully Berahino and Otamendi, I would be a very happy man. Pedro is as good as done too.

I'd rather not. We have enough young forwards/attackers attempting to break into the team. Either a ready made star (of which there are none available) or no-one; the latter seems most probable.

Pedro and Otamendi would be great.

Then both will have to drop their demands or else we have a player just moping round the club. Else get him a loan somewhere.

I highly doubt we're demanding much, we're apparently letting di Maria go for £15m less than what we bought him for.

I don't think he's on much, either.

I have a suspicion Rafael just doesn't want to leave.

I think he's in last year of contact so other clubs may just feel they can wait a year. ..perhaps he does too

You could be right, Cap'n. And he is just too much of an independent spirit (and sadly too injury prone) for LVG. I wish him well whatever he does. Would be amazing to have him do a Young and prove all the sceptics wrong.

Was the Adidas deal a secret then? I don't see what one has to do with the other myself.

Well, it might be that the players signing are players endorsed by Adidas, and if these players are indeed marquee, then it does make some logical sense for Adidas to want the announcement to come after August 1st, so Adidas reap benefit from the announcement.

Woody surely wont back down now, it'll be very damaging to his pride and reputation you'd think.

Woody won't want too, but don't think LVG is fan of keeping players who want to leave. Or big on coaxing/man managing for season or 2 in that scenario.

Don't know about tweets but there were pictures of him arriving in Rome yesterday and being greeted by Roma fans. Seems like a done deal.
Yup, just read its a loan deal with obligation to buy for 21m at the end of the season. Nice buy, together with Džeko. Roma still needs to get a LB though.

Yeah, Roma could have a very good team with the new additions and if Strootman overcomes his injuries. Barcelona's Adriano could be a great solution for the leftback position.

I may not be understanding this right, but I think Simon Stones is saying that the Spanish reports are bullshit and our stance on De Gea and Ramoa remains unchanged, so nothing to worry about at the moment.

No, it says that's what is being reported in Spain. He says our stance hasn't changed in the 2nd sentence.
:nervous: Didn't read the whole tweet for some reason. Let's pretend this didn't happen @dwd

Still, I'd trust Ogden over "reports in Spain" incase anyone's getting worried.

How do these incentives even work?
Like the Di Maria situation, apparently quite a bit of our 60m fee for him was in incentives, but if we are to sell him after one year and achieving very little, do we just write them off?

Its so great that "barcastuff" are in the room and can livetweet the nuances of what is holding the deal up.
