We're seriously slowing down with our business :annoyed: when it's so obvious we lack another creative force up front and defensive stability at the back.

This fits what I heard a few months back. Soldado's agent wants to meet with Villarreal.

And that fits with what I heard a year back.
Soldado wants to meet his agent to talk about Villarreal.

And that fits what I heard a few years back.
Soldado spoke to his Mum and told her he wants to be a professional football player when he grows up.

Journalism is so easy nowadays.

Veretout, Amavi, Gueye. Aston Villa are doing very well regarding signings.
Ahh the old Newcastle and Pardiola route. Buy half of the French league\french players. instant success.

In all seriousness, Veretout was quite productive for Nantes last season I believe? Early FF shout.

Amavi and Gueye are the better signings. Especially Amavi should have done better than Villa.

I don't really see gueye as a problem solver for them though, creativity is their main issue. Didn't see enough of amavi to comment, but good to hear!

Who exactly do you see as potential signings that we could get for a fair price ?

Creativity should be less of a problem with all 3. Veretout will probably be the attacking midfielder and Gueye can provide as well. Amavi is ridiculous going forward and will be a threat for them. If we didn't have Shaw, Amavi would probably be my first choice at left-back for us. Without Benteke there will probably be the problem of finishing the chances and the rest of the team is still quite average.

Very much doubt any Premier League club is going into a season with Rickie Lambert as their main striker, especially after getting as much football as the kit man at Liverpool.

What's the point of Liverpool even buying him in the first place? I mean, what was Rodgers telling him?

"Look, I want to buy you, you'll play 1-2 games, 10-15 less than Balotelli, who will be awful for most of it, and then I'll sell you back to a mid table club worse off than the one I'm buying you from. Whaddya say?"

There was no point, most people could see that the minute he signed. He was blinded by the fact that he was signing for his boyhood club, which I'm sure some of us can forgive him for. The only thing I can think of in Rodgers defence was he thought he was better than he saw when he actually turned up at training??

He'll be on pretty high wages though I imagine so they won't have bought him to sit around and scratch his balls.

I'm not so sure about that. We have a better chance of landing Bale than Ramos simply because Bale is not Spanish nor an icon at RM. Perez told Ramos if he lets him go then he might as well resign himself. The fans of RM will be more open to a Bale move than a Ramos move. @carvajal thoughts?
I think that he is not leaving. The only option would be a lot of money(140m€ or more) and the player willing to leave. Anyway I think that could happen next summer

Wow, high praise! Yeah, ayew and gestede should get a few between them, but neither have it in them to be prolific, in my eyes.

Who knows though, Sherwood will get them playing fast attacking football, so they may not be clinical, but turn in a fair few chances.
