I do that with important ones. If it's nothing of consequence to Utd or not massive news then I don't post text. Is that ok?

If City are moving on Otamendi we should tell Real that if the deal is to happen, it has to be before we possibly sign Otamendi. There's a chance we lose out on both defenders and i'm sure Real knows this. Can't see us signing both. Will we come to a mutual agreement over fee? Who do we turn to if we miss out on both?

The advantage we hold in your scenario (losing out on both Ramos and Otamendi) is that we can keep De Gea and still be fairly strong without adding a top CB. Remember, our defense is now far better shielded. If we lose out on Otamendi and Real don't agree on a De Gea-Ramos, we should just close discussions with them
Then City get Otamendi and we get Garay (you know what i mean). Just sign Otamendi and move on.
Edit: I'd rather sign another defender.

Na De Gea is worth more than a new centre back. If we miss out on one and end up with De Gea for another season we will be fine. Just need another striker.
This is exactly my point. We need to find ways to score more. Our current defense, with De Gea behind and our new midfield ahead of them, is good enough for a title push.

It's only guesswork but I'm wondering if this kind of thing (Benzema being 'unsuitable'; Bale taking priority over Ronaldo etc etc) is an unsubtle way of ushering some big names out of the club...possibly for financial rather than sporting reasons.
