People talking about Begovic to us being a career ender, this is just as bad in my opinion. When/where will Delph fit into the City team?

He'd probably just replace Milner, who played more than enough last season. I think he'll be fine, especially with the Pogba transfer looking more than unlikely this summer.

Payet, now Ogbonna, got to say that WHU are doing some excellent business, they really seem to aim high with those signings.
Decent team West Ham are building

----------------Adrian---------------
Jenkinson-Ogbonna-Reid-Cresswell
-----Obiang---Kouyate---Song-----
---Valencia-----Sakho-----Payet---

That's a team ready to challenge Everton, Southampton, Swansea and even Spurs for Europa League places.

To be fair Pellegrini does rotate the CM's fairly often. Fernandinho is getting old now and his stamina is a key part of his game, if he starts losing that then he'll start to see himself on the bench a lot more. Not to mention Fernando was pretty crap last season. If Delph is the only CM we end up signing I'm sure he'll get plenty of game time, provided he can make the step up.

Exactly my point, some decent managing and there's plenty of potential to be exploited there imo, I'd start shitting it if I were Spuds. Add their move to new stadium and it's some rosey days coming for the Hammers.

Milner's position was nearly always out wide though. Sterling, if we get him, would be the one taking his role in the team.

A partnership of Yaya & Delph isn't exactly sound defensively is it?

What impact do you think moving into the olympic stadium will do for them in terms of making them more of a permanent top six team?

Supposed United fan who has played for both Liverpool and City :wenger: Though he basically unsettled the whole club at Liverpool, maybe he's planning on doing the same at City. #AgentRaheem
Clearly going to end up the greatest United manager of all time

Delph is definitely not good enough for a top team IMO, purely being signed to fill up the homegrown numbers. Though they don't have a good midfield anymore with Toure declining so he'll get games most likely.

There's a bunch of teams below the current top 6 who are getting closer and closer to the weaker teams of that elite group of 6. Southampton and Swansea are nearly there and Everton will be back. The PL money is making the midtable teams much better.

With these astute signings and a new stadium that they will fill (at least 45-50k), West Ham will definitely be up there under the right management. They were knocking on the door last season only for a combination of Fat Sam fecking it up and some of their players going on holiday early.

Not sure how good Bilic is as a manager but the extra revenue they'll get from the OS as well as the new PL deal will only help their cause in helping them challenge for Europe. They've also got good owners in Sullivan and Gold.

I thought he was supposed to be the next big thing?

He has stagnated in his development and not really been the reliable squad member Juve were hoping for. He'll do fine in a smaller team.

Still reckon we're waiting to see what happens with the German fella. Hope Morgan doesn't mind being seconds.
Honestly would be shocked if it's an either/or situation, unless LVG truly doesn't rate him. So looking ahead & we get Bastian but not Morgan, who would be available next window? Strootman?

Lots thought Strootman would be nailed on to sign for us this window. Has he struggled coming back from his injury?

Honestly, I'd like us to sign both Schneiderlin and Schweinstiger.

Begovic incoming.

He got back early from his ACL injury, picked up a knock which needed another (smaller) operation which meant he was out untill just before preseason. After that it has been silent in Dutch media so I assume he's on his way.
