"I am just reporting" feck off, such a wannabe this guy.

Exactly. No idea why he's continually quoted on here, just post the source material.
Sick of these snippets posted as if they're breaking news to suit a viewpoint. I'd put money on the Ramos / Bayern thing being a throwaway line in an opinion piece.

It's posts like these that make think I should stop posting tweets. I'm sorry but we can't moan around every corner for every 2nd tweet. What would be the point to this thread then? There's only about 5 of us keeping the tweets going here and I'm sure they feel the same by now.

Jonas is a Spanish speaker that translates articles. He's done work for SW too if I'm not mistaken. He's used here because he doesn't fabricate stories. He actually quotes the source and posts a summary of what was said. Sometimes the sources aren't even available online but in hard copy only. I see nothing wrong with his tweets. He's never posted biased nonsense and neither has he he fabricated stories either.

As we've seen currently foreign media is our best source. So decide whether you want quick reliable translations or not. And don't bring up Sports Witness since they summarise news every morning and go through a debunking process. So they don't give insant translations often.

Sorry for this kind of post but I'm starting to get tired of people needlessly moaning about every 2nd tweet. Rant over

We could really do with the MEN being more of a Marca style propaganda arm - all the big clubs need a paper that just plays to their agenda.
I've read the mail and the telegraph described like a United propaganda machine, but that's football fans paranoia for you.

Who is Jonas Giæver (CheGiaevara)? He must be a Norwegian judging by his name but I've never heard of him.

The guy who spotted De Gea's message on Thiago's matchball. Working for/helping Sportwitness by translating articles written in Spanish.

Agree completely.

Fenerbahce confirm they are in talks for RvP

Last Minute | Fenerbahce Football Inc. , Robin Van Persie was reported that the vessel itself and the club began negotiations with Manchester United

Don't know what this vessel is, but sounds something exciting. Maybe some pirate Vessel...

I agree far too many people moaning about tweets these days. Just read it or don't and take it with a pinch of salt but not every tweet can be scrutinously be checked for quality. If they quote a source and deliver new transfer information it is good enough for me. These guys that transalate articles or tweets especially are usefull.

Atleast that is my two cents.

Bit weird to confirm you're in talks for someone. Don't clubs usually like to keep quiet (on official channels) until a deal has been agreed?

Fehnerbahce as a club are linked to the market, they are legally obliged to confirm/deny transfer talks. It's why they confirmed interest in Nani and in RvP.

United is listed on NYSE also?

No idea how it works precisely, but a Dutch article on VI said that Fenerbahce are legally forced to confirm interest because of it. I don't know how different it is from United.

Not moaning about the tweet, just the way he worded it (all self important). I do appreciate what is posted in there, so not having a go.

You can question the source of a tweet. On here, there are rules about posting tweets, use common sense. If the Telegraph says Di Maria is going to Arsenal, that post will not appear here, or if it does, it won't get much traction.
He doesn't seem to follow these rules. Not that he should, how would he know. It's blatantly obvious the Ramos / Bayern thing just wasn't true yet he posted it anyway. It's such utter nonsense that Sid Lowe went out of his way to correct him, yet he hides behind his intention with a 'usually reliable' cop out.
He seems to go of of his way to post contrary tweets to the narrative as to stand out. If 10 outlets are reporting one thing and a little known news item on media outlet number 11 goes against the grain, he'll post that contrary report without much context. A throwaway line will be posted as if it's a core / startling revelation.
That's ok, but there's a sense of whoring out to get followers about him.
A journalist reporting rubbish Tweets doesn't mean the tweets are less rubbish. Can you imagine an English version in Spain posting about The Express etc? His head would be fried lol.

They mention in article that the deal is done. Statement was released for stock exchange just like the Nani deal.

You had a dig at a tweet where he was in mid discussion with Sid Lowe. You didn't bother to check why he said he was simply reporting what they said. That's exactly what he did. Then Sid Lowe saw his tweets and replied that he believes El Confidencial is wrong. Ask yourself why Sid Lowe would reply out of his own mind you to those tweets?

Edit: Just saying a bit more broader thinking is required before we just bash tweets and ask for people to be banned. Sorry mate not meaning to start an argument

I completely disagree. I've been following him for 2 seasons now. He reports what he finds in all Spanish speaking media, not just from Spain either. He assists Sports Witness too. He rreported what El Confidencial wrote, thats all. Then Sid out of his own and from nowhere replied and said El Confidencial is wrong. What's wrong with that? I've read on the caf before that El Confidencial are indeed usually reliable.

Just a week ago someone here had a go at Omid Zamani and look now, all of a sudden he's everyone's favourite.

Yes we should have quality control but some of the criticism on here is unnecessary

Carry on doing the good work, unless the club state it then I don't believe it anyway. if some people are too gullible to believe every word that's printed, then that's their tough luck. Surely people can judge for themselves what is something close to the truth and what is complete rubbish. How long does it take to read a tweet, a few seconds..
Don't be discouraged
