Doubt he's taking anyone's place. He'll be there for rotation. That's my guess at least.
Nearly £30m for a 29 year old squad player. That's crazy.

Looked through his LinkedIN and tried to do a bit of research on the network he apparently works for (Digicel Sportsmax) and it seems like a quite small outlet?
Do we have any US posters here who could enlighten us a bit?

He's being followed by a fair amount of journalists as well as the verified Telegraph Twitter account.

Okay yes, he wants to leave (although i'm still not convinced). Where do we go from there ?

Tired of hearing talk and seeing no action.

So if he sits out for months and they sign Pogba where exactly does Arda fit in? Seems like a silly transfer.

They sell Pedro becoming a back up for quite a few positions. An expensive back up mind

I think we'll only get Ramos if DDG goes the other way (regardless of whether the two transfers are interlinked contractually or not)

Ramos wants to leave, DDG wants to leave.
Real don't want to sell. We don't want to sell for pennies.

I think the only difference is Ramos would be willing to hand in a formal transfer request but it appears DDG doesn't have the balls.

We're in the stronger position imo so kudos to Woody for this.

We'll just come back with a bigger bid...

no i fully expect us to finish this signing up shortly, a few more quid and maybe some ad ons and we are in business. just ive seen how fickle this place can get  gets scary sometimes :nervous:

Stupid to believe a single word that papers write about United, the same telegraph wrote something completely different three days back . It can just as easily be that we bid 25 but they want more so this is just made up crap being changed on a day to day basis

Then why do we have a whole thread dedicated to what they print ?

Well it pretty much sums up the whole transfer window, so I guess you either embrace the whole circus or just wait for official confirmations of signings.

Not aimed at you but I don't see the point of coming in to this thread only to moan about "lazy journalism" etc. For better or worse, most people seem to enjoy the transfer gossip and sagas, so the 'lazy' journalists just spoon-feed the rubbish, knowing it generates interest and (to some people) enjoyment, which leads to clicks/people buying papers. They're just supplying what a large number of people want to read, even though they know it's likely rubbish.
