that bodes well for him, getting that second wind in the second half of the season after playing so much is impressive, especially for a big sized player. He looked a bit lighter to me in the U21 games recently, has he been dropping weight do you know?

Damn, I didn't realize the wage differential was so huge. I guess he could look at Monaco has the next step with a manager he knows, and hold off the PL or La Liga move for a couple of seasons.

That's always been my question mark over him, for a big athlete he doesn't assert himself enough physically when I've watched him play, he should be bullying other CM's, but at times he looks timid and a little lazy.

He looked lighter? I was actually thought the contrary, but perhaps it was just a visual thing, specially when he went up against that England midfield

Yeah he had one of the lowest wages when he returned from Belgium loan. President took too long to renew his contract. A bit better now but he obviously can get better abroad. Leonardo Jardim would be a great influence (as probably Jorge Jesus) but i´d prefer to see him at Germany, Spain or England. Big rumours about Bayern since he played and bossed that German midfield. He got big praise from a German FA rep with ties to Beckenbauer.

It´s a matter of perception and sometimes of the level of the opponent. For instance against Porto he has always been a beast and aggressive. On other times he just doesn´t look arsed. But playing at a higher level like in England i think he would improve on that like i said.

Wouldn't have thought so. I imagine his first choice would still be a fat new deal at Madrid. Players have done much worse and gotten what they wanted.
Yeah, the only difference is that Perez probably has a bigger ego than any of the players. This is a real power play IMO. If Perez caves, it could well be the beginning of the end for him.

Like Graham Hunter but he spouted lots of nonsense about Thiago signing for us 2 Summers ago

I think Ramos and Perez will kiss and make up with a fat new contract

Does help us a little in the De Gea situation

Is this Sam Byram ready for first team PL football? Might just be a back up type signing?
He's one of Leeds' best players so I should think so. Everton have no Europe to contend with next season either.

He's blocked me on Twitter ever since the Thiago saga, I'm not getting excited about Ramos until I see him holding a Utd shirt...

#Laporta: "If there is interest from Atletico to sell Arda Turan, I'd speak with the club, but I don't think they want to sell him."

Simeone has made it pretty clear that only Koke and Godin are 'non-transferable'. Everyone else is replaceable should their valuation be met.

When asked which Atletico players are non-transferable, Simeone told Marca: "Koke and Godin, and that's about it."

Hunter has pretty much accepted that he has been briefed by the agent and he hasn't really said anything which changes the dynamics of this transfer. Sergio Ramos wants to leave them because he wants more money , I am pretty sure that if Real offer him a good contract then he will decide to stay on but if Real don't offer him a much better contract he is almost certainly going to leave.

It doesn't make much for him to say it anyways, Turan has a release clause they could activate if they wanted him.

Would Arda really fit in there? They already have Pedro as a rotational wing option who doesn't see huge amounts of play-time, and then through the middle Rakitic is just as tenacious and hardworking, whilst Iniesta is just as talented dribbling past players and having an impressive pass range. Surely they'd rather hold out for a younger, world class option like Pogba/Verratti?

True indeed. But it also leaves the possibility that others could be sold below their release clauses, like in the case of Mandzukic.

Mother of God, his wife is incredible.
