Not really. We should simply move on to other targets. Coleman isn't exceptional. He's an improvement on Valencia sure, but not by that much. I would be perfectly happy with Valencia starting if we give Varela or McNair a chance to play there in the long term.
This is too much for me to take. No Schneirdelin bid, to Ramos bid at £28M and now Ramos wants to leave..... All in the space of 3 minutes.

Often, with deals like the Schneiderlin one, the clubs hold talks and when they come close to an agreement over price and general terms, then the bid is submitted formally, so if the clubs are still negotiating the final details (as it was reported yesterday?) then it'd make sense if the bid hasn't come in officially just yet.

It's kind of normal, I imagine that it's not like FM, you don't negotiate through bids but discuss calmly and make a bid when you know what kind of offer might be accepted.

Just like on FM when you get a bit excited and thrown in your initial bid to high. Quickly withdraw the offer, then go back in a week later with a lower offer. Makes perfect sense
Or that we haven't made a firm offer but Schneiderlin has already said he wants to join.
The fact that Koeman has said we haven't made a "serious" bid for Schneiderlin yet means that we definitely have made some kind of bid for him.

That's how I'm reading it too. They want to best deal possible for him and the comment is a bit of a sign for us to show them a bit more cash.
