While I think he's a great player , bidding (if true), 50m for a 29 year old is a bit excessive for even Man United .
According to reports from Spanish newspaper AS, Manchester United have put in a second bid in the region of €60m for Sergio Ramos, after their opening €50m bid rejected by Real Madrid.
I was starting to believe it might be true, but this is clear bullshit.
How reliable are L'ÉQUIPE?
How reliable are L'ÉQUIPE?
About as reliable as they come in France.
Used to be reliable. Not sure if any thing has changed now or not.
I suppose were making a statement of intent and to a degree it pleases me to give Madrid a bit of there own medicine . Madrid are a great club and when they want a player they tend to go in and get them regardless of the cost and maybe to get united back amongst the elite we may have to take a similar attitude at least for the next couple of windows .I think Ramos is a worthy exception. As much as I like, we won't get to tick off all the points on the check list when making a big money signing. But Ramos for that price isn't the worst idea in the world.
Screw it lets get them all, Schneiderlin & Schweinsteiger and Ramos & Otamendi.
Yeah if that's our strategy it could backfire big time.Using Schneiderlinn as a backup option has the potential of going badly wrong. If Schweinsteiger turns us down what's to say Schneiderlinn will still be hanging on for us?
Good news. They write that Cristiano wants Ramos to stay at all costs.More pressure for Florentino
Some expert claiming L'Equipe article is based on english papers,so its not their information. If thats the case then there is nothing new there.

Yepwhy the feck not we need depth anyway

In that case it wouldn't be our strategy to have one as a backup for the other not working out, which is what I was referring to.Not really. I imagine we would have given Schweinsteiger a deadline to make his decision. Also the reports seem to suggest that we have agreed a fee with Southampton and also had discussions with Schneiderlin regarding wages. I remain doubtful that we would pull out at such a late stage, just because we could sign Schweinsteiger. It would be a very unprofessional thing to do.
Stop shitstirring in both threads! Some expert claiming L'Equipe article is based on english papers,so its not their information. If thats the case then there is nothing new there.
When it comes to French players, they are incredibly reliable.
