Is the manager going to have a rethink on what Hernandez can be for the squad?!

I'm not sure LVG has shown any sign of appreciating him, but things might have changed I guess. Personally I'd probably go with what we have now next season - Rooney, RVP and Hernandez playing the single striker role in a 4-3-3, with Wilson maybe on loan? There don't seem to be any decent strikers available any more right now, and we have other areas that are more pressing. A striker can be looked into next summer.

Real Madrid would be wise to replace the ageing Ramos and Casillas with Varane and De Gea and could still end up having a few bob left over from it

And we'd be wise getting in a defender that has won everything at every level and doesn't crumple into a heap at the first sign of trouble. Or a gust of wind.

Everyone wins.

Van Gaal on Hernandez: 'I sent him away already, I told him the same as Danny Welbeck. You'll be a sub and that's not good for you. If you score a few goals for RM, are you different then? I think not.'

Yep, combined with his ability that is the exact type of player we should be looking at to compliment our current lot.

Which is why it is probably bollocks

Could be wrong but I thought Sid Lowe was one of the more reliable journalists.

Is this a reliable source ?

Sid Lowe is Guardian's expert on Spanish football, so yes, he's reliable (if that can be said about a journalist covering the circus that is Spanish sports media). Most of what he's saying has been reported by the likes of AS and COPE already but it still sounds like he got sources too.

Have to say I'd say some pleasure from taking Madrid's own version of a "lionheart"/other random cliche off them.

Signing Ramos would be brilliant for us. We need this kind of leadership, experience and quality in our team if we are to challenge for trophies next season. I don't think he'd find it difficult to adapt to Van Gaal's playing system and ''philosophy''.

Would be better to sign Schneiderlin in the next 3-5 days and then worry about Schweini's and Gundog's decisions.

Samuel Eto'o has arrived in Turkey to complete his expected transfer to Antalyaspor.

I'm shocked they state that the 24 million asking price is acting as a stumbling block for potential suitors. Would be money well spent.
Haven't seen enough of him to be honest. But most here think he's brilliant so I'm assuming that's around the correct figure.
