I don't understand some poster's logic. Falcao showed little to no improvement in his time with us. And yet many seem to think he's going to be a world beater now. How many of you would wager he could even stay upright for 90 minutes on his own accord? I think he could be a fine striker but physically the EPL is far to fast and strong for him. Will he score goals at his next club? Perhaps. Will he bang in 20 to lead a club to a championship? Highly unlikely.

Amazing how a majority of the Falcao is shite brigade are bricking it that he will hurt us from elsewhere.
Or is it just a few jittery people on an Internet forum? Personally I wouldn't be bothered if he pitched up at a rival. IMO he's a busted flush, regardless of how much people want him to be the world class striker he was prior to his love to Monaco.

I was wondering the same, we've hardly been linked with anyone yet, that's whats concerning (or means we're doing things properly)
I wouldn't be worried, this time last year I was worried but after Woody pulled one of the best summers ever I am more than excited to see what we do this summer. Reckon it will be our busiest ever transfer window in and out

ADM wants to leave United will probably be the hottest topic for newspapers all summer. I am very relaxed about this though. He fell out of favour with LVG, but is a player with lots of pride who will try and come back next season with a bit between his teeth. He'll want to show his class to the league. Only chance he is going is if LVG has written him off, but he started the last game of the season so I'm not sure about that.

Not worried about Falcao going to Chelsea in the slightest. I think he's done for the top level and can't cut it in the Premier League, as we all saw this season. His move to this league has happened a couple of seasons too late, he's not the same player after his injury.

Chelsea would be daft to sign him permanently, but I can understand the logic of giving him a chance to prove himself with another loan + option to buy deal. Would be a shite deal for Monaco though - no one wants to pay the big bucks for Falcao and they probably won't recoup even half of what they paid to Atletico for him.

Oh and I don't agree that if Falcao scores 10+ goals in a season it'd be worth it. He'd be on massive wages even if he reduces his demands a bit and with Chelsea's quality creative players they'd be perfectly fine with someone less shiny than Falcao for the supossed Drogba role. IMO Remy has done a solid job as Diego Costa's back up, so I don't see why they don't just give Patrick Bamford a chance to be third choice (unless Mourinho thinks that Falcao could regain his form of a couple of seasons ago).

Personally I think it'd be daft to sign a player on such wages to be second/third choice.

Nah, I don't think that's the case at all. Judging by Di Maria's interview of a couple of weeks ago, he's fully determined to succeed at United and to prove he's good enough for the Premier League, so I'm not worried about him leaving at all. I'm sure he and his family have already gotten over the robbery and he's keen to have a fresh start next season and regain his Madrid form (it'd be a tough thing to do on the wing though).

Not sure what I’d make of Falcao going to Chelsea. While I struggle to see him improving to his previous standards after the season he’s had with us, there is always that worry that he could come back to haunt us.

#Juventus director Beppe Marotta confirmed a deal for Sami Khedira, while they also “need” Paul Pogba.

“We are very close to Khedira and will announce it officially when pen is put to paper,” confessed Marotta after this week’s medical.

I wonder if Khedira heading to Juventus would indicate that Vidal's on the way out?

Just have to keep telling myself that he'll have much better service here than he had with you guys. That's the only rational reason I can think of as to why we'd sign him.

Probably more likely recognition Pirlo can't last forever.
Seriously Juve have zero reason to sell any of their players (not that I am saying they won't)

Loving the new auto-tweets thread. Is there any way of having translation of tweets not in English? Thanks.

I doubt Mourinho sees it that way. If he buys him, he clearly assesses him as good enough irrespective of his form at United. If he knocks 10-15 goals as a Drogba replacement and Costa backup, then it will be well worth it.

I think we just differ on whether Falcao's any good or not!

Personally, I think Costa is almost guaranteed to be out injured for at least 1 month a season with hamstring injuries. If they have to play Falcao instead, I would be delighted (especially if that was against us).

Probably from the same source as Keys' tweet. Probably bollocks

Would they be the same sources that last summer said Ronaldo and Cavani would be at Old Trafford?

I can't see it myself, one difficult season usually isn't enough to persuade a player to up sticks and leave and given that interview he gave a few weeks ago something major would have seriously have had to change to come to this situation.

Would'nt shock me if he moved, mainly because he isn't a guaranteed starter.

True though I think that's a pretty poor reason.. if he had anything about him he'd force his way back in to the team which he is clearly capable as on his day he is one off, if not the best player we have.

I expect him to have a better year next year. If he does go, i'd prefer we go after De Bruyne.

I know you love De Bruyne and I know that he can play wide, but if Di Maria leaves don't you think that it's in the wide area that we should buy?

Do we need a proper winger ? In my view, no. We need a player with a high football intelligence, who can contribute a good number of assists and goals. De Bruyne managed 25 assists and 15 goals last year and is on the cusp of proper world class status. We'd be buying him at the ideal time.

PSG should go for Angel Di Maria in my opinion. When Ibra eventually on the bench (remember he is 33, turning 34) Cavani will move centrally and Di Maria can play on the wing and they would be frightning with Lucas and ADM.

I agree with you on De Bruyne but in my opinion we lack proper wingers, I would sell Mata for De Bruyne though.

No need to sell Mata, we can accommodate both since both can play in multiple roles, as well as to cover for one another during injuries.

They can have him, as long as we get Verratti as part of the deal.

Losing Di Maria this summer would be bad timing. With De Gea also likely to leave, we'd have to sign 6 or 7 players, which could prove disastrous for our chances to challenge for top honours next season. It'd be another mass overhaul with all the players leaving the club and we'd face another season of watching the new players adapt to the league and to Van Gaal's philosophy.

I meant, if we keep Di Maria, I really don't want to see De bruyne play wide, he is way too good in the middle.

wouldn't mind losing diMaria but we should be in market for another player, Dave's in Madrid soon, ,we are quite stacked with wingers if Januzaj stays and have a chance to prove himself, would be for Isco or de Bruyne both could play from the wing or as attacking midf from center while both quicker than Mata..

Re tweeted by the man himself, Ander Herrera. Nothing to panic about tbh

Obviously a wind up - look at the other tweets and hte name - can we not post sh*t like this leading to speculation, leadin to media articles, etc etc ?

Surely some random City fan doesn't count as a 'postable' Twitter sourcE?

Willing to lose Angel di Maria but keep Adnan Januzaj.. Jesus Christ.
