With Ancelotti gone, it's impossible IMO.

Everyone knows that Perez decides which players to come and which to go. It doesn't really matter who the manager is. I also don't think that Verratti would reject a move to Madrid with or without Ancelotti.

Seems like Madrid have chosen their main targets for the summer - De Gea and Verratti.

Verratti seems an odd choice for them. They've already got that deep lying quarterback role sewn up with Kroos. Pogba would make much more sense for them.

They've been signing players they don't really need for what seems like an eternity now.

I know Perez controls everything transfer related. What I'm saying is that with Ancelotti sacked, Madrid might not be so attractive for Verratti anymore as he is a huge fan of Carletto. Besides, if they can't convince Nasser to sell him, it's a dead end. PSG have rejected Barca twice.

@Niall no idea if this is at all possible, but in the Transfer Tweets page, anyway to also get the text from the tweets in the post as well as the tweet itself?

Is this because loading tweets is blocked where you are?

It could be done dynamically once the tweet loads, but if that's blocked and the tweet never loads, then I'm afraid it's not straight forward and not something I'll be doing.

Is it not the poster of a tweet, that copie's & paste's the text (of the tweet) under the tweet?

If Adblocker or social media lockers are loaded onto your pc, you wont be able to see the tweets Cass..

I don't have very much positive to say about Newcastle as a club but isn't releasing two players who are on big contracts, have had serious physical or medical issues and have struggled to make much of an impact on a team that's absolutely rubbish just common sense.

Yeah, they've treated Jonas like shit in the past but recovering from bollock cancer shouldn't be enough to earn you a new deal unless you're worth one.

Yup, the rationale is fine but the timing is just not great unfortunately.

Yeah, my point was that text from the post doesn't make it to the other thread, was just asking if that was possible. I know how the corporate firewall blocking works :)

Verratti is nothing like Kroos. While Kroos is a better playmaker, Verratti defending and fitness levels are much better. He's a better fit in a midfield alongside Kroos than Pogba.

Daily Mirror: Juventus eye Chelsea ace Oscar - in cut-price £9million move.

Such bargain hunters  no fecking way they get him for such a low fee though.

Its not like he wasnt being paid handsomely when he was ill & being provided with all the best private healthcare also. Same as the Fletch situation in many ways - only Fletch was out for much longer..

Juventus seem to get linked to even more players than we are.

I think Pogba would compliment him better, compensate for Kroos' lack of mobility and physiciality and give them more drive from midfield.

Except they still would be exposed defensively if Modric isn't playing, Verratti most certainly the better option.

Haven't seen him play much but he seems a caf muppet target... he is 1.65... shorter than Messi or Scholes. He has to have the energy of Davids to be useful in the PL in that defensive midfield role.

In the big games playing a midfield trio of Kroos-Modric-Pogba would be more than enough defensively, against weaker opponents they'll be more focused on going forwards where Pogba would be far more useful.

When he is at it, he does. Hes not exactly a DM though but does have good defensive attributes. Hes got the skills to be as good as Scholes in terms of his passing and vision, I guess time will tell

Ain't got a single clue who we will sign, it's a good thing as we are getting business done the right way but then again for us muppets it's boring:wenger:

I did say if Modric isn't playing btw...

Well it either means that, or it means we are dithering and have no definite targets yet
