"Sources in the Netherlands, meanwhile, have played down the notion that United may sign the Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen to replace De Gea. United manager Louis van Gaal is thought to have indicated privately weeks ago Cillessen was not his target."
From Independent article.
Hope we keep our Spaniards here, they have good personalities. You don't get the in fighting like with some other nationalities.
Difference is that Madrid obviously has more Spaniards.
Thank Zod.
Add to them as well with Isco and Morata.
Only by a couple....I think.
I think he thought you meant Real, not Madrid in general.Last time I checked the map Madrid was in Spain. And that's the place you know Spaniards come from...sooooo yes there millions more Spaniards in Madrid than there are in Manchester. That's the difference
Chelsea never lost someone they wanted to keep since Abramovic. Neither does Bayern or City and neither did we before Ronaldo. Big clubs who can compete trophy wise and financially do not lose their players. Liverpool and Spurs are obviously not part of that group which is why Ronaldo and De Gea are an exception to the rule over the past 10 years at least.
What a name.
What a name.
Thanks for posting that, really important to follow Angers's business this summer.

This has no substance whatsoever. Barcelona and Real pay as high wages as anyone out there if not more. Not to mention the issue with taxes and commercial revenue. Do you really think Hazard or Agüero would be paid less at Real? As I said, over the past decade or so, if a team could compete financially and has a legitimate chance of winning trophies, they do not lose players they want to keep. Cristiano Ronaldo is really the only singular case of the opposite which makes it an exception rather than a rule. Just because we're about to lose De Gea, we do not have to pretend that to rewrite history. Most City or Chelsea players, would never get the contracts they're on now with another club - that's why they dont leave.
Great spot!kETeophomephone .
Saw this on my timeline, make of it what you will. (Not sure if posted before)
Just watching yesterdays Paddy Crerand Show and he said Ronnies team was Benfica, not Real, so yes he was doing it for his mummy.
I heard the same thing, but some posters told me that I was wrong.
Edit: @DomesticTadpole I'm almost sure that it's Sporting CP not Benfica.
Most City or Chelsea players, would never get the contracts they're on now with another club - that's why they dont leave.
Nonsense. That's perhaps true for English/HG players who, but the top stars like Hazard, Silva and Aguero will be guaranteed at least the same pay elsewhere, if they decided to move on.
Not exactly "nonsense" then eh?
I think he thought you meant Real, not Madrid in general.
You said "most". Last time I checked most of City's and Chelsea's players weren't English or home grown.
Maureenio tryin to prove he's a better manager / coach, than LvG
Big difference between London & Manchester it must be said. Thats gonna be a massive boost for Falcao, but i have my doubts it'll be a sweet addition for Chelsea.
God forbid he's shit-hot next season though. Crikey..

Not sure he needs to prove it does he?
If you want me to pick holes in this subject - how many (percentage-wise) of City's foreign players, would get the same contracts at other clubs?
It's a pointless debate as we don't know what everyone at City actually earns and what players of similar quality earn elsewhere.

Maybe there's more than one of him and we are signing all of them.I have lost count the number of times we have signed Gaitan according to the media.
