If this happened I will lose all faith in our Transfer strategy completely. Would be ridiculous on the basis of a good 18 months.

It's not even that tbh. More like 7 months form, considering he didn't even start the season as first choice at Spurs.

I can see him leaving Wolfsburg if another club comes for him, he generally hasn't had the best time there. It took him a long time after his transfer before he became a starter and aside from the patch where every shot was a goal he isn't guaranteed a start. He's a great poacher but that's about it, not sure how good he would be if Cabella is creating chances for him in stead of de Bruyne though.

Juve don't mess around when it comes to midfield, if true.

Also since we don't need him, just put Rooney up top, even if he isn't the player he was he can put the ball in the net and he can run around a lot therefore he will function well in that position, Mata should compete for the 10 position with Herrera (who also will compete for 8), whether we go one behind and two in front or two behind and one in front with the midfield three doesn't matter, it's just about finding the right balance, it might require a more physical 8 if Carrick is the 6.

Rooney had two premier league seasons before signing for United scoring 8 in 37 and then 9 in 40 but i'm not sure where he played, probably all over the place. 25.6m for an 18 year old in 2004, with the way prices have gone the now version of that would be considerably more, Kane is 21 scoring 31 in 51 last season and 4 in 19 the season before, I don't think he would be a bad player to sign at all but I agree the logical thing to do is wait since we don't need him and he will want to leave spurs eventually and should be cheaper.

This season he signed a 5 and a half year deal, it runs out in 2020, he earns 45k per week. Considering how important he has been to spurs he should be asking for double that, Levy won't be letting him go for a while, any club who wants him will need to pay a fortune or wait until he is 25 - 26 assuming he doesn't sign a contract extension.

Aye it will definitely happen if a decent bid is lodged. Dost has often looked poor but he had a good season, in a big way thanks to Wolfsburg bringing in several quality players. As you said, he's a pure poacher and offers little more in his all round game. Wolfsburg are quite flush and I see them going for a big name striker this summer. They may try get Lukaku but he would cost serious money.

SportWitness said its just going off the other report. It's basically one guy saying it and the whole internet blows up as usual.

(Posting since there's been a rumour on Twitter that he'd confirmed the deal on Radio in Brazil)

I have no news on Firmino to Man Utd - have been in Chile for a week, out of the loop - worth chasing German journos, I think

Martin Montoya (24) is considering to leave. Has offers from England, Germany, Italy and Spain. Liverpool and Sevilla most interested. [md]

Ermm isn't Firmino currently in Chile?! Surely journo like Tim could sort out if it's shite.

@duffer @Orc @Spiersey thoughts on who could be on loan as part of agreement? Heard Monaco had scouted Charly Musonda a few times.
Doubt it would be any of the English ones. Not sure Musonda is at that level yet.

Not really sure who tbh.

I really want to give a giant middle finger to those who just edit footballers' wiki page out of nowhere regarding transfer. Hopefully no Caf members do so

AC Milan very close to signing Jackson Martinez from Porto, says his agent.

“We’re there now,” his agent Luiz Henrique Pompeo told Calciomercato.com this evening.

“We are very close to concluding a deal with Milan and there’s a very good chance it will be finalised.

“We hope to give the announcement tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. He’d make up a dream partnership with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.”

Wait, Ibrahimovic is signing for Milan?

Well there are strong rumours of the move happening. Sky are running something similar:

AC Milan have held talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic's representative Mino Raiola over bringing the Sweden star back to the San Siro, according to Sky sources.

Apparently PSG want to get him off the wage bill and it's either leaving this summer or next year for free.
