International football is not way to judge anything in relation to the club game. It's practically a different sport at this stage.
Nonsense, coaches come into league teams and can have an immediate impact. That’s what is needed in a national team: to get things on the rails quickly.

Van Gaal got criticized for a more defensive playstyle in Holland, but he didn’t lose a game. Koeman has made changes and can’t win a game.

Watch now, struggle get a Midfielder in and we will get hammered on Sunday by not having strong enough midfield.
Doom and gloom even before a ball is kicked, nice! It’s not like we will throw whoever we sign today/tomorrow on the field against Arsenal right away.

How the feck are we the only club who seems to be held back by financial fecking fair play whilst everyone spends more? It’s a joke!

Because the club has been widely reported to be amateurish in the transfer world for many a year. Owned by bellends and subsequently run by them also. This is just the results of many, many poor decisions over a very long period - the money spent versus money made on transfers is ridiculously bad. I am without a doubt that we will never be a top club again until all have been replaced…and by top club I mean winning and challenging for the league and CL.

There is no comparison at all. It's lower in quality, less intense and with less pressing and they don't have enough time with their respective teams to develop sophisticated systems in attack or defence.

LVG has been a dinosaur at club level for quite some time now.

We literally are a fecking embarrassment to the footballing world aren’t we? One of the world’s powerhouses in the game yet pleading poverty at every corner.

How is it 35m? I thought they accepted 17m from Nottingham.

It was widely reported all summer that his valuation was around the 25m mark. Where is this 35m valuation coming from

That’s what happens if you make disrespectful offers. I mean making a 2M loan offer is just piss poor from the club.

If I were Fiorentina, I’d keep him for another year and let him walk for free if I’m faced with that kind of offer.

And what’s absolutely infuriating is that Ornstein himself has mentioned he’s our top mid field target. I mean that’s just a joke. Making a 2M offer for our top target. I mean at least put in a option/obligation to buy FFS

Is he not top target based of what we have available to spend within ffp?

We might as well have offered to take him for free. It's bizarre that we have been linked with him for months then the first offer is days before the close of the window and insultingly shit. I know we were waiting on Outgoings but surely the henderson move gives us sufficient headroom in terms of ffp

The player has stopped training with the first team for a couple of weeks now, United probably using that as an opportunity to lowball and insert weird clauses.

But a 2m offer, which is split and conditional is obviously going to get rejected. Fiorentina can easily extract 2m worth in a season out of him.

They don’t have any upside to let him go on loan, without an obligation. They probably have concrete transfer offers to buy the player.

Side note, our transfer dealing team should never sit at a poker table, they’ll end up getting their houses sold. Poor.

Do any of you in here actually like Utd? Lapping up any shit source / journo guess at offers and slagging us off.

The club has been so poorly managed by these numpties it's unbelievable. They spend money but they have no plan. They don't know how to get the right people in to run the club. All this club needs is sensible owners who have a proper plan and structure. Not that much to ask surely.

There's no money. Wouldn't be shocked if we're just making it look like we're trying to get deals done.

Amrabat is probably like, feck sake I’m here basically on strike and been patiently waiting for the move I’ve been promised and you’ve finally come in and offered that steaming turd…he’s probably crying and laughing in equal measure.

I'm sure a lot of the sources are bull but if we are really struggling to even loan Amrabat then the club is in big trouble. If Forest had a 17 million bid accepted then even if we paid the United tax you would think we could get him for close to 20 million.

The most mind boggling thing is we could have got 60 million for Maguire and McTominay who are unlikely to play much this season and replaced the with Amrabat and a decent 3rd/4th choice CB.

Keane called us the new Spurs - we are in fact the new average serie A-team :)

I think the whole situation is vile. Blaming things on FFP when basically we don't have two shillings to rub together.

Everything at the club is just painful.

The Nunes bids only came about after the Paquetta betting situation was exposed, it's going to look like a fast thing because the whole situation has come about with 2 weeks left in the window. The whole thing has probably been over a month for them.

Besides our issue has been widely reported as needing to move players on before bringing them in, that's been the real problem.

Well, it does not change the fact that the deal happened within a couple of days. No matter how we put it and what kind of explanation we look for it, we are damn slow in making progress for any deal.

I agree, the main issue is selling our players and hope we can get rid off some, but hell, we are aware we must get someone replaced and still aren’t capable of getting anything as we are amateurs in the transfer business. It’s really painful to watch this

So have Palace still not signed Henderson?

I do hope this deal is through! Considering he’s already sold, we have money and place to use it.

The thing about the combo deal including Maguire and McT. is that we refused the McT separately as we wanted more than 30 mio. We will never neither get more than 30 mio for McT. again nor will he move to Bayern, he will stay at the club and play approx 10-20 minutes from the bench from time to time. Oh and Harry, well this is another story as no words are needed… what a shame.

I still hope we can get Amrabat over the line but all this loan rumors must be really pissing him off as a player. Waiting the whole window to move to his dream club and forcing the move, not even being in the squad for the second game in a row, by getting finally to the Premier League and not to United but to Forest or somewhere else probably.

So, actually it is harder. Makes his win ratio all the more impressive.

THANK GOD we get to keep mctominay.

The fact that the club even listened to offers for him makes me think heads should roll. I have heard Steve mclaren is responsible for outgoings this year....maybe he should be the outgo-er!

Why would selling players have anything to do with McClaren? I smell the shit of a bull….
