As I say, United don’t sell to PL rivals. If you think they’ll suddenly do so fair enough but I’m just looking at the past. We aren’t Arsenal.
United won’t want to give Chelsea the 15-20 goals they were missing last season as that would essentially limit our chances of top 4. They also won’t want to lose status or the additional value he offers to a rival.
United aren’t strapped for cash. They don’t need to sell on disagreeable terms.

If Chelsea are the only club interested, or the only club willing to pay £15m+,we'd be stupid not to sell. That money plus the saved wages would go towards a replacement and put us in a far better position than keeping a sulking dickhead who will fake family issues to get out of playing.

Negotiations is different from the identification and scouting of players. The guy is at the table working on the transfers set by the club and Tuchel. But he also is flanked by lawyers and club support who are keen on the deals, what needs to be done and what is necessary for it all to be registered with FIFA/UEFA/PL.

While I agree with you, I also see @Berbaclass point. If only Chelsea bid for him, we might resist it until the transfer deadline day but we would eventually sanction it Imo.
We just have to hope Bayern shows interest because if they do, Ronaldo would definitely chose them over Chelsea even if their offer is less. Should Bayern not be interested though, then keeping an unhappy Ronaldo against his will would totally destroy our season and set back ETH project.
In overseeing the club, yes. But my point is the fact that you, other Chelsea supporters, and the media are overstating his influence in terms of transfers. He's the chief negotiator on behalf of Chelsea, very good to have, but it's a position that requires much more support and specialist.

But again, Ronaldo being purchased by new American owners just because he is a "marketing dream" doesn't align with Tuchel and the sporting side. This version of Ronaldo has glaring drawbacks and they would be amplified under Tuchel because of his optimal football style.

I agree he doesn’t fit. I’m not sure it will stop them though. The new owners of Chelsea are in it for the money. Ronaldo brings that. Quite a tempting proposition for them. Will say a lot about how much they value Tuchel, although he might fancy him. We don’t know.
I think if they sold Lewandowski for €40m and got Ronaldo for €20m they'd take that a 1 year stop gap while they figure out their long-term no9 target.

They haven't declared their interest, and Mendes hasn't reached out to them. So far, Mendes has only reached out to Chelsea and Bayern Munich, whilst Napoli are interested but haven't necessarily made any advances as of yet.

If he goes to Chelsea and is successful it's pretty much the exact confirmation that Ronaldo wasn't the problem.
Also interesting that Tuchel would go for him - another sign to me that ETH saw the value in having him as well.
