Bloody hell, forgot about him. Just sell him at this point surely.

Ah fair enough. He's been injured from summer until the mid-season tour.
Tier 2:
I had a feeling the fee would be an issue there.
Means it will be for Kane too then
I'd expect Kane to be a good bit cheaper than Osimhen but Levy could still price Kane out of a move this Summer.
Will the same board be even here next season after the sale ?
Tier 2:
afaik its due to FFP constraints we cant spend (unless selling big) - a new owner wont change that

This./Surely we'll have new owners by the summer anyway? Who cares what the current board thinks.
They would if the debt gets removed as we wouldn't need to spend on financing that
incorrect
Just paraphrasing Ducker (I think) - do elaborate. Whats the truth then?
United are in exactly the same boat as Arsenal, Chelsea, City etc. There’s nothing new here.
As already mentioned the debt is limiting somewhat but any new owner will either clear it or reduce it heavily so they’ll be even more wriggle room.
Essentially it’s all sensationalism
but thats just the debt itself, no?
Isnt it the commercial revenue and the ins and outs that decides what amount you can use according to FFP? If debt itself was a factor it would make sense that we wouldnt be able to buy the whole Glazer-regime, but thats never been the case
Watch out for this.
David Raya does not renew. The Spanish goalkeeper has rejected ANOTHER proposal from Brentford.
- His contract expires in 2024.
- Most likely scenario: sale in the summer.
- Big-6 interest: contacts with Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham.
check the other thread on the FFP subject - its clear we need to sell 5-6 players (like thats gonna happen) to be able to spend around 100m
It’s been debunked. As I say. We are no different to the other big clubs.
by who? Check the FFP thread, it does seem to make sense. And no we might not be that different, but we’re not in a great state.
Chelsea are in worse shape by all accounts.
I simply don’t see the dramatics. It’s obvious we need to sell and trim the squad to spend. It’s also obvious new owners will come in with new sponsors and to reduce our debts.
United are no worse off than anyone else, actually better off the others. Especially given we are removing the glazers.
Massive shame that we can't afford Osimhen as he would be my number one pick for the striker position. Hopefully we don't settle on someone not up to the task for such a vital area.
Because one report came out weeks ago that we could one afford one major signing if we didn’t get CL football. Just the one.with XL football we would be okWhat is this weird idea that we are in trouble in tens of FFP??
Have I missed something important. There is no way we are close to failing the FFP regulations when city, Chelsea and even Liverpool and Arsenal to a lesser extent are spending like we are.

If we missed out we would need to sell to buy.
I think it was from Tucker.
Since then everybody combined the two and ran with it

Oh. Right. So a sensationalist news report that everyone has swallowed as being true!
Right. As you were then.
Not sure what the issue is then. The squad still has its fair share is deadwood so we could still do with a clear out anyway.
Williams, Tuanzebe, Telles, Jones and probably others.Yeah starting with Maguire,McTominay,Donny & Martial
There’s plenty of people to sell. It’ll look as if we have to sell to buy but we’re a year late selling these because Ten Hag wanted to see what he had in his squad before showing players the door.Yeah starting with Maguire,McTominay,Donny & Martial

I don’t think ETH has any intention to sell Donny, and personally I’d be surprised if we sell Martial too - especially as we need all the strikers we can afford!Yeah starting with Maguire,McTominay,Donny & Martial
