Ooooohhhhh55% in the CL.

That would be a great window.I think De Jong, Eriksen, Anthony and 1 defender will be a really solid window.
Now someone will reply that we will still be shite without a DM.

I highly doubt we have the budget for all those tbh. If we learnt how to sell a damn player or two, we might be able to but I doubt it.That would be a great window.
FdJ, Eriksen, Antony, Martinez (who can also play as a DM) and maybe a Sangare would work.
Dependant how much he wants LondonIf it’s between United and Brentford surely that’s one United are getting done? Though I appreciate he’ll be the key man at Brentford
A bit worried about Antony. If Ajax are selling Haller then maybe they won’t allow another sale.

Yeah still not sure. Im trained to be pessimistic nowreporrts today suggest it’s not a factor anymore

Don't need him to.Is Eriksen fully fit? Can he do 90 minutes 38 games?
We didWe really should just get rid of the scouting department and start over.. they are fecking useless.
How often have we actually taken scouting department recommendations on board. Seems like most signings we have made over last 10 years are managers preferencesWe really should just get rid of the scouting department and start over.. they are fecking useless.
Pretty sure Shaw and Herrera were scout signings. Honestly think they were the right players to sign even if they didn’t really work out.How often have we actually taken scouting department recommendations on board. Seems like most signings we have made over last 10 years are managers preferences
From this Article

How would we know? By all accounts we seem to disregard everything they say and either just buy who the current manager has some good feels about. Or whoever the fans are clamouring for on social media.
I know everybody is excited about EtH coming in, but if this article is true, isn’t just signing whoever the current manager wants, something we all agreed was bad and we wanted to move away from?
Honestly, I think any type of absolutist mentality is dumb. If Ten Hag has made a logical and compelling case for certain players and the scouts don't hate those targets then it's fine. If the scouts are screaming no then it gives me pause. Similarly, if the scouts love a player and the manager doesn't want him then that's not going to work. It's the whole point of the transfer committee and vetos.
Completely agree with this. When you watch recent top-level Champions League matches it's striking how few basic errors these teams make. There are a few but mostly forced. The majority of the time these teams ping the ball about at top speed, all around the pitch, often under pressure.De Jong and Eriksen will make such a huge difference to our team. Two very technical players who hardly ever do the simple things wrong (an underrated skill) and both very creative and hardworking. It’s not just what they’ll bring but what they’ll do for players like Donny and Sancho who will be reborn with likeminded players passing and moving around them.
We have players in the middle of the park whose first touch is poor. Until they are replaced everything else suffers.Completely agree with this. United are many levels below that, and have spent at least 6 or 7 years not even trying to compete with these teams, relying on counterattacks and big players delivering big moments. If we're serious about changing this approach then yes we need 5 or 6 technical footballers to come in over the next 2 summers, and then we can also make the most of the technical players we already have (Sancho, Donny, some of the emerging youth players etc).
To those responsible for managing Evanilson’s career, no official proposal has arrived, only polls from England. There was an approach from Brighton. If a formal proposal arrives, we will analyse the best for the player.
Steady. Don’t think we’re at the stage of shitting deadwood yet! This club… 5 years time we’ll be complaining we can’t shit him as hes deadwood

We did
De Jong and Eriksen agreed by next week and we can start to look forward to pre-season with some optimism.
