I would rate it a little but higher than that5/10 window.
Positives: Young, long-term signings in three key areas (CB, LB and RW). One of the best (if not the best) DMs in the world, Eriksen, another good passer and creator, on a free. Got rid of some money-draining mercenaries.
Negatives: Midfield still not fully sorted, CF not sorted at all, RB not sorted at all.

No but you want to put us in a situation where we have Dalot... and Williams. We can't let AWB go unless we find a replacement - and we cant buy a replacement simply to let AWB go - we have to buy a replacement which is good enough to be a part of ETHs United. AWB hasn't suddenly turned into a bad player overnight - he is still a good defender who can do the job - and he is still a much better alternative than Williams.

Thing is, we were never going to sort all of the below in one window. It's too much for any club and typically takes 2-3 summers. My issue with the summer spending is that I'm not sure that aside from Martinez how many players will help us play better possession football. Maybe Antony will help a bit as will Casemiero but I've felt that we need a playmaker in midfield for ages. Still, it's a decent summer albiet somewhat ruined by how late the business has been which has made sure we've lost ground already.I would rate it a little but higher than that
Best DM in the world purchased
Creative midfielder added
Very exciting young RW added ( first right winger in years )
Solid CB that compliments one of our true world class CBs
LB with loads of potential that will link up well with our massive signing from last season who can now play his best position because we actually bought a RW
And got rid of a good chunk of players that were draining our squad.
Not complete I agree
But a solid 7 / 10 for me, we have definitely improved the squad .

6 forwards but 2 strikersBs. Or better to say only if Ronaldo leaves. At this moment we have 6 forwards.
7 forwards if you include Antony6 forwards but 2 strikers
Surely you didn’t think we’d be signing 7 players?5/10 window.

Okay, those are fair enough points. Though you could also make a case that once you've decided that a starting XI player basically doesn't fit the bill, it's not a great idea to keep him around. He'll bring the same shortcomings playing as a backup as he did as a starter, and he is also unlikely to be content or develop in such a reduced role. And is Williams really a much worse option? He had a fairly good PL campaign last season, though he seems to like best on the left. For that matter, if we're uncomfortable with him being no 2 at this stage, it's getting a bit hard to see why we're keeping him.
With Rashford as 3rd in case of emergency.6 forwards but 2 strikers
Spot on. The only problem is one of our strikers has thrown his dody out of the pram. Hopefully he'll cop on now and start playing for Teny. With Rashford as 3rd in case of emergency.
Some clubs (big clubs) don't even have two, but this bs journos are trying to sell story how we need 3. 3 proven strikers fighting for one spot.
That would be waste of money and wages. Not to mention that for manager it would be literally impossible to keep all 3 happy
Rashford - shit 90% of the time.Bs. Or better to say only if Ronaldo leaves. At this moment we have 6 forwards.
Yes. They rejected it as they want €50M which is £42M£25m. Wasn't it €50m for us a couple of days ago?
It literally got rejected. They want €50Mwe should easily bring up these £25m. great to see PSV giving out discounts on their player
But they are here. I disagree with your description of them but even if we have 6 completely useless attackers we are paying them. You can't just buy new players on position where you have 2 options (no matter how shit or useless they are) without selling.Rashford - shit 90% of the time.
Martial - injured 90% of the time.
Elanga - shit 95% of the time.
Sancho - still has question marks
CR7 - wants to leave, doesn't help the setup anyways
Antony - hopefully a world beater
So yeah, 3 are basically useless at this point in time.

Right players is the word...Reckon that's us done this window, bar a few more departures.
If we'd had our signings in by the start of the season I'd rate it mush higher. It's been chaotic and trigger-happy, but I think we've brought the right players in.
Still some gaping areas, but we weren't fixing everything in one window.
There is a tweet somewhere, I’ll see if I can find it, that states rhat they still want €50M"Dutch club holding out for £25m".
But you can't ship all players you dont want long-term unless you have a replacement short-term. No manager does that unless he has enough money to sign any player he wants (Mourinho in his first period at Chelsea). Managers need to prioritize and ETH probably felt there were areas he needed to strengthen more - or maybe he had 2-3 right-backs he would consider and none of them were available so he decided AWB and Dalot would have to suffice - and he looked at other areas first. Or maybe it's a question of ETH thinking that AWB isn't his ideal player but maybe he is not quite as bad as RR made him out to be.
Is Williams a much worse option ? For almost 2 seasons AWB was really good defensively....I have never felt Williams is really good defensively, so yes - he is much worse.
that's what they wanted from us, if I'm not wrong. could also be that the €50M also stand there for the saints, but in this tweet, the 25M are statedThere is a tweet somewhere, I’ll see if I can find it, that states rhat they still want €50M
Phil Jones and Bailly have been here but that didn't stop us from buying CBs. Why can't we do the same for attackers? But they are here. Defenders are completely different thing. Plus Jones and Bailly were/are finished in this club (plan was to sell Bailly which we did in some way).Phil Jones and Bailly have been here but that didn't stop us from buying CBs. Why can't we do the same for attackers?

Maybe I'm not.Well at least you arent exaggerating
We are definitely not buying a striker if CR7 stays. If that was a point you were trying to make, then I agree.Defenders are completely different thing. Plus Jones and Bailly were/are finished in this club (plan was to sell Bailly which we did in some way).
Use some common sense. We go and spend another 50 mil on new attacker. You have 3 attackers, on big wages, fighting for one (!!) spot.
And we are not even in CL so PL is what is important this year.
How do you expect that that would work for ETH? We have already a "problem" how Ronaldo will accept bench/rotation. This is not FM, ffs. Hell, even in FM you can't have 3 strikers in team (unless one of them is perfectly happy with being 3rd option and playing then and there).
