OK so talk of 60 million for Casimero.

80 million euros rejected for Antony. Sounds like good budget still there for transfers after Casimero.

If Ajax said no to 80m€ for Antony then there are not enough green smileys to use.

Honestly if that's true they need help.

Still a loser mentality

Not what we are at United!

Yea well we don't traditionally sit bottom of the table either, but alas. Il be optimistic just as soon as the club does something to not feel shitty about.

EDIT: More info
  • Casemiro's contract will be heavily based on incentives and performances
  • Casemiro will be among the club's top earners

Good player. But I still question a team at the start of a long rebuild investing 60 million in someone who will be 31 at the end of the season.

Suppose desperate times call for desperate measures and maybe its money well spent if he is the difference which gets us in the top 4, but I kinda doubt it.

He was a former PSV player, yeah.

Feels like every players that we are linked to via Ten Hag's influence either currently or previously played in the Dutch league. Maybe this is a good option, but he really needs to expand his horizons.

80m rejected
Madness from both united and then from Ajax

Also it's so damn frustrating that were waiting until after the season started to try get players in. Always reactive rather than proactive

Not 100% convinced about Gakpo. From what I have seen, he doesn't have the close control ability someone like Antony has when running with the ball. It's the same thing that gave me a bad feeling about Memphis when I watched him play for us.

No but his shooting is much better than Antony

Lemar next then, funny how eager we are for atletico forwards when they have been generally underwhelming last season
Felix, Griezmann, Morata, Cunha, Carrasco. Only Correa and Lemar left before we've been linked with every single Atletico forward in the span of a few days. And it's not even fringe sources.

Maybe it’s because it’s being said that Simeone wants Ronaldo but needs to free up salary space.

Journalists putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5. Probably

feck sake are we being linked to every attacker they have now?
Basically Ronaldo is desperate to leave, and Athletico Madrid is probably the most likely destination, so we are exploring a swap deal to get one of their forwards in exchange.

Ed prepared a handover note and transfers process map. John has finally given in.

Tier 2:

Casemiro's departure to United is imminent.

The deal could close at 70M. The English club offers him four years plus an optional one and doubles his salary.

Between Friday and Saturday, medical examination. United, obsessed with him playing on Monday.

Key part translated:

The club have been linked and watching Lozano for years.

Funny how English Media reporting in €

Casemiro few would be £51M + £8.5M. (€60M + €10M).

It's a big fee for a 30 yo, but Casemiro is arguably the best DM in the world, his arrival is huge upgrade to United's squad.

Why did he not start the CL final game? Did he have some type of injured btw?
