This tweet was definitely posted this morning. Mahzar's slacking but this saga is jading the best of us.
He also said something very similar a few days back, but this time, the tone seems a little less optimistic.

Nice have finalised the arrival of Mattia Viti (Empoli) and will be able to accelerate their search for a left-back (Fabiano Parisi, Alex Telles and Jérôme Roussillon are among the players targeted) and a striker (Marcus Thuram, Arnaud Kalimuendo, Alassane Pléa...)

Translation:

  • Telles could be loaned out to Nice.
  • Brentford are interested in Kasper Dolberg, who could be on his way out of Nice.
  • Marcus Thuram is Favre's priority.

Because we are almost incapable of selling players. We've only sold one this summer.
We're not looking to sell Laird as far as I know, we're looking to get him some first team experience. Sending him to a team that's constantly changing managers doesn't seem like the best way to ensure that. We already had Garner going there and losing his place as soon as they inevitably sacked the guy who brought him in.

There was talk about including him in a deal for Antony. Was that untrue?

Give it 6 weeks until Watford change manager as usual. Laird then sits in the stands until January.

States that Laird needs to play.
Club sends the guy to the most unstable team in the league.

Just lower the fee. We need to make proper cuts when players leave, even if upfront fee lower

He earns slightly less than Newcastles highest paid player, just to give it some context. Thankfully we loan him out next 2 season and he’s then free to leave. Went from 1.3 million at Porto to over 4 million at United, way too much in my opinion.

Money for old rope we've been, for years.

£5m-£10m, no wages paid, bye.

Telles leaving will be a loan at best. Why would anyone buy him? And why would he want to leave when no one will pay him anywhere near as much.

Telles would be a very solid player for a lot of teams, not everyone is as blessed as we are in the LB department. We even have fan usernames like Leftback99!

Of course we have to pay part of the salary. Of course.
Constantly paying for Woodwards incompetence
Should really review how much we pay fringe players who are not bought for their potential, as he’s got the deal of a lifetime from United that no one else will match.
To be fair to Woodward and your current board, this is more a byproduct of the huge financial gap between the Premier League and other leagues rather than incompetence. Telles makes below average money in the Utd squad at £100k/week. There has been a lot of rumours in France about him going to Nice but Telles is making twice as much as Nice highest paid player. If a PL club want to loan a first team player to another league, they'll have to cover a big part of the wages most of the time, because foreign clubs simply cant afford them.
