Exclusive. Roger Schmidt has no termination clause, it's true. However, the German has a clause in his contract with SL Benfica that allows him to cancel his contract with the red club in exchange for a compensation of 9 million Euros, regardless of the contractual moment.

Benfica's having a terrific season under Schmidt, so it's a real surprise to see such a low release clause on him compared to, say, Marco Rose. Still, €9m is a decent amount for a manager.

So he ‘doesn’t have a release clause’, but he has a clause that allows him to leave for 9m?

The termination clause is referring to conditions outside of monetary payments. He doesn't have any of those in his contract, but he does have a monetary release clause.

Official: Highly talented youngster Samuel Iling-Junior extends his contract until 2025

Fabio, Nantes's RB, former Man Utd player, is heading to Gremio six months before the end of his contract.

Modric and Kroos, legends with an uncertain future.

Modric: a key player for Ancelotti who has not yet renewed. His contract, for now, is up for renewal.

Due to his age, he belongs to the 'club of year-to-year renewals', as Florentino Pérez's policy dictates, but there is optimism for him.

Kroos: the player is considering retirement at the age of 32. There is fear in the dressing room; it could be his last season.

Real Madrid and the midfielder are due to meet in the near future. The club would be delighted if he were to continue for another year.

Summarized translations:

Tier 1:

Asensio, awaiting Madrid's offer.

The player wants to continue. He will still value the renewal according to his role, he wants to fight to be a starter.

The idea of the white team was that he would receive his offer before 1 January. For now, he is still without it.

Tier 1:

Nacho and Ceballos, neither offer nor certainty.

Nacho: he is a highly valued figure. However, he has not yet received a renewal offer from Madrid.

The understanding between captain and club will ensure that negotiations are not delayed. Of course, no one can guarantee his continuity.

Ceballos: Ancelotti has repeatedly shown that he counts on him despite not receiving full backing from the club.

Real Madrid have not presented him with a proposal, but their roadmap could change. All open.

Tier 1:

Mariano will be out.

There is no debate. The striker signed a five-year contract. He completes it in June and will not renew.

It is the only operation that Madrid has already resolved.

Tier 1:

In the last few hours, Valencia have asked Luis Alberto's entourage directly about the situation. From an economic point of view, it is an operation on the edge of being financially unfeasible.

Tier 1:

Number 1 target as second-round replacement for Manuel Neuer continues to be Alexander Nübel, talks are ongoing. Alternatives such as Yann Sommer have been discussed and talks held. German-speaking is not a must: Bono or Navas are also still in the running.

FC Bayern is not only looking at the goalkeeper position this winter. Hasan Salihamidzic, however, rules out a Gvardiol deal in [an interview with] SPORTBILD.

More from Brazzo:

Goalkeeper update: No consideration is to be given to possible problems caused by a competitive situation when Neuer returns. Hasan Salihamidzic: "It is important that we find the best solution for our team in the short term. What happens in the summer, we have to manage then".
