But, but...I thought it was an Arse done deal. Just a case of negotiating the price.

Or, maybe it's just made up to force Arse to up their offer?
Edu can't agree a fee with West Ham, just like he can't with Shakhtar on Mudryk. It happens.

The gulf between City and ourselves will just keep getting bigger. To be honest though I’d rather we get closer to Arsenal and a chance of finishing in top 4 instead so wouldn’t be too disappointed if he ended up at City.

Rice going to City was not what I wanted to see today

Was suggested they were dark horses and unlike us don't have any budgeting concerns. This takeover saga has really taken away our ability for some top players sadly.

Tier 1:

Bayern is in intensive talks with Kyle Walker's management. Internally, it is assumed that he could become the next transfer. Offer from Bayern, as first reported by sky:
2+1 year
Option, however, only with many appearances (30+) in the second year.

Translation:

Even a relatively straightforward deal like this is taking some time (Tier 2):

Lenglet is approaching Tottenham

5M€ offer
Target: 30 June

Lenglet's current salary at Barcelona's too high for Spurs to match. Spurs want to offer Lenglet a lower salary, and to keep him enticed, they want to offer him a 5-year contract.

Stade Rennais are on the lookout for a striker, and could soon make an offer for Strasbourg's Habib Diallo, the scorer of 20 Ligue 1 goals in 2022-2023.

Strasbourg are asking for €20m for the player.

Why? He's been absolutely rubbish

Tier 2:

Newcastle will not go after James Maddison unless Leceister significantly reduce their asking price (currently more than £50m). Otherwise, Newcastle will risk breaking financial fair play rules.
