@Dirty Schwein what do you make of Luton's early business in the window?

I've seen they're linked with Chong as well, certainly seem to be targeting the Championship market.
I think we're pretty realistic in the transfer market and don't wanna sign players that will burden us too much financially. Therefore we will be looking to make signings like these, which I'm fine with. I think the club will be using most of the money from the promotion to pay off the new stadium and these kinds of signings will mean that even if we're relegated, which is likely, we will be in a good position to bounce straight back up.

Our board and scouting system has been very good and I trust them. Everyone raised a few eyebrows when we bought in Lockyer from Carlton a few years back and he has become our best player. The same happened with Morris last year and he became our top scorer. Adebayo was unheard of... crucial for us now.

I'm happy to see what they have in store but I do hope for at least one or two players with prem experience.

I know it’s an opening bid but 14M seems tight as feck
Yea, several reports from l'equipe and theathletic about a 25M offer from Lyon a couple days ago, so bidding 14M afterwards seems a bit weird.

How the feck do they manage it? £19m for someone who has never played higher than league one.. we should be demanding £40m for Hendo alone on that basis.

They got a good fee for Bazunu too in similar circumstances.

Henderson being on £100k a week doesn't help but still baffling they are getting this sort of fee, England U21 regular or not.

Nothing to see here. Not dodgy at all.

Everything about them reeks.

19M for a 20 year old from League One....

Burnley's Championship GK who is 23, also from City, spent 4 years away from City on loan, before becoming Burnley's GK last season (22/23). He was transferred to Burnley for 3M Euros on a 4 year deal and has played just over 8,100 minutes of senior football across Championship (Burnley), Turkey (Adana Demirsport), and Holland (majority of matches with Willem II).

Trafford is 20 years old and has played 7,200 minutes in League One, yet is expected to be transferred for almost 10x Burnley's current GK? Huh?
