Yeah - I don't think he comes if Kane is leaving.

I don't see Kane leaving this summer. It's a bit like the Pogba situation with United.

He wanted to leave, we wanted £100m, no one could afford him so he stayed.

I think the same will happen with Kane.

Reading the Athletic article the line “United’s budget would not stretch to that extent if they get Sancho.” Doesn’t exactly give me confidence we’ll sign a DCM if this is the case.

What's the context behind that? Stretch to what extent?

When was the last time Man City paid over £60m for one player?
That doesn’t mean they won’t make an exception for one of the best players in the world in a position they need. When was the last time we paid over 60m for a player before Pogba? Something not happening before doesn’t it mean it won’t happen in the future in the right circumstance.

 how's it going to look if he turns them down too. Utter shambles. What's the list so far, Rodgers, Nagelsmann, PSG (blocking Pochettino if rumours are to be believed), am I forgetting anyone? Maybe they can just give it to Mason :D

I think a lot more clubs seriously want Kane, than Pogba. Juve don't count (when we read they are "ready to offer such and such shite and unwanted player" in exchange).

Agreed. The issues with this are:

1. He wants to stay in England
2. Levy is very hard to negotiate with
3. That leaves 1 club who dont spend that much at once.

Pogba was how many years ago?

If you read and listen to people about City, they have a different model to us. Not just gungo ho.

They like to spend on younger players with potential.

Only time will tell though.

I could see all of United, Chelsea and City come up with a great offer. Maybe not Levy-acceptable, but then one has to factor in Kane's public stance and the fecking mess their club are in.

I'll say it again, if they would just hire a progressive manager used to work with a proper DoF, use the money to rebuild for the future - and/or take as many prospects as they can from City's youth side and as much money as they can milk out of them.

They surely have to be thinking long-term. He's not going to stick around for much longer, so why not bite the bullet.

Well the Sancho transfer is from our budget.

The other transfers (CB, CDM, RB and a cheap back-up striker) must come from player sales or swap deals (Pogba, De Gea, Martial, Lingard, Matic, Tuanzebe, Williams, A.Pereira, Dalot, Chong).

Sancho and Christian Romero would be a very solid summer.

Then you'd hope Garner and Van de Beek might be ready to help out in central midfield at times.

Conte is just talking to Spurs to keep his name in the media, hoping a bigger club will eventually come in for him. Spurs probably already have an agreement with Eddie Howe, but don't want to make it look like they poached him from Celtic at the last minute, so will announce it later on.

Official: Eric Maxi Choupo-Moting signs a new contract with Bayern until 2023.

Rodri 2 summers ago, & Dias last summer, both cost above £60m.

Before that Mehrez also cost above £60m

But i know what you mean, city usually don't do the £75m or £85m big signings, so i won't be surprised if they opted for a younger CF option like next year Haaland

I will be thoroughly happy and satisfied if we sign just the two players this summer - Sancho and Varane

A bonus RB signing like Trippier will top it all off if we can offload Jesse/Jones/Dalot

Robin Olsen:
I have not thought about it. I look forward to the championship [Euros] now, that’s what I focus on. The rest we have to take after the European Championships. I have enjoyed myself in England and then we will see what happens after the European championship. This is what I have been looking forward to and this is what I have been longing for. Now I’m going to enjoy.
