He’s a slightly above average manager with a half decent pressing style.

Your purposely ignoring my main point anyway, which is that he’s definitely worse than four managers in this league.

He’s not untested or up and coming, he has an established ceiling. And no offence but this isn’t a one horse race league.

Who do you want then?

My preferred choice is Ten Hag and Ajax currently sitting second to PSV in Holland so this can work both ways.

He plays a 5 back with two strikers, no? God knows where Amad would fit in that
I think Amad could play off a striker with great success, as part of the 2. The main thing everyone wants him to prove is he can physically handle the English game, I think he's versatile and confident enough to play across the front line.

Cereal bottler and kids feeder, yeah we are set.

Sounds like a good plan. Poch comes in and bottles the cereal which Rashford then hands out to the starving kids.

Hopefully the cereal will be full of nutrients.

Looks like they play lot of formations with 3 at the back, like 3-4-3, 3-5-2, 3-4-1-2. If Amad gets loan deal, then he should get chances.

Hopefully we pick loan move carefully.

Ten Hag for the reasons I’ve outlined, he’s primed for his next move and somewhat untested at this level of course but my point with Poch is we’ve seen his ceiling in this league when there was less competition.

We currently have Ralf Rangnick and Chris Armas in charge ffs and probably won't be in the CL next season. Honestly don't think we can afford to be picky.

I'd prefer Ten Hag over Poch myself but I certainly won't be too unhappy with Poch either.

Who exactly are you expecting it to be other than maybe Ten Hag?

Not Pochettino obviously, we could and should do better.

And I disagree this is the perfect time to be picky, if we're just going to hire any good/average manager because they're getting sacked and/or will be available we might as well have stuck with Solskjaer for a while or just give Ralf another 12 months and wait for a better candidate to become available.

Now is the time to be picky. We've taken far too many punts, managerial and player wise, post SAF.

I am not trying to wind any of you up. If you dont make top 4 the player discontent and back stabbing will only get worse. Why would one of the most in demand managers want to sort all that out and not have CL? It seems like a bad career move. It has been a long time since Man Utd won anything. Still a massive club, but definitely not the destination it was 10 to 20 years ago.

Didn’t Chelsea finish 10th the year before Conte joined?

I’m not sure about Poch but to make out we’ve seen his ceiling is nonsense. Spurs had a good side but they’ve never had the resources that Utd, City, Liverpool and Chelsea have. He over-achieved with Spurs for the most part.

Yes, but his success was a surprise and taking the job his expectation was getting 4th. He was not in ETH position of being at the top of the manager appointments. That was the year Pep was appointed to City and you got Jose, so at best he was third in PL manager appointments, not taking into account other league manager appointments.

Is there a more sought after manager than ETH right now? Perhaps Zidane?

I doubt ETH is leaving a team that always has CL, for a team not in the CL if you dont make 4th.

Just my opinion of course.

Ajax to United is always an opportunity no matter the situation of the club. Liverpool attained Klopp being in a shambles.

This United job is a challenge for a coach / manager to truly test themselves.

Villa showing more ambition than us
Ambition is such a wishy washy word & thrown around this place as a criticism to United.

X club signs Y player.

CAF:They’re showing more ambition than us!

When in reality if United were to sign Digne in this instance the club would get crucified for NOT showing ambition by signing midtable fodder. The club is bloated as it is and you want MORE uninspiring signings.

Swear this place wants shiny new toys for the sake of it

No, they're improving their team. We should also try doing this, particularly in midfield...

We don't see Digne, anybody upset over that calibre of player going elsewhere will have a rough month. Maybe if he was a right back it would make a margin of sense

What a stupid post when we need to improve the 1st team quality with 2 cms and a rb, as well as adding squad depth to replace other players that are leaving. You'd swear we had City's squad if you listened to this nonsense

Botman is a very good player, but I don't believe Lille really want to sell him now. We are considering his profile, but there are many options on the table and we're also discussing things with the coach. There is a lot of time left in the transfer window, and we're lucky to have options to consider. A center back is probably our number one priority given the injury to Kjær. If we have a chance to strengthen ourselves there in a sustainable way, we will work to get it done.

Not Pochettino that's who.

I have no control over, nor a huge preference who Manchester United chose to be the next manager from the other popular candidates being bandied about. Beyond being of the strong opinion that it shouldn't be former Spurs manager Mauricio Roberto Pochettino.
