Arsenal pushing for Vlahovic?

Bad news if this is the case. I rate this guy and really wish we signed him. And Arsenal? Really? They are going to be a lot more dangerous with him.

Tottenham and West Ham are also lining up for transfer this window, while we seem to have given up and wait for the summer?

...Because we'll have a new manager, no ?

Anyway, I'm more interested in cleansing this squad of shite than bringing players in at this point.

I'm not even checking for Utd transfer rumours/updates this window. I've never not done that as I've always had some hope we'd do something good but I'm done with it.

Honestly, bringing in a new batch of players under a interim manager is the last thing United need at the present. Focus all our efforts on those currently within the squad.

Think that is what he is saying, you want to move, you are moaning to the press, get your agent working and p*** off.

It's a good thing Arsenal have no chance at actually getting him at this time. They've been chasing him hard since last summer, and whilst Fiorentina are okay with the transfer, Vlahovic and his camp have 0 interest in joining Arsenal. The only way they'll get him is if Arsenal suddenly become a consistent top-4 club.

Newcastle are indeed chasing Sevilla's Diego Carlos + Danjuma has a massive release clause.

With the departure of Kieran Trippier in Newcastle, Atletico Madrid set out in search of a right-back. Nordi Mukiele tops the list as announced by L'Equipe. But the transfer is difficult because Leipzig is, for the moment, not willing to sell.

Don't expect much, if any, transfer activity from United this month according to these guys:

Luckhurst says that we'll prioritise a new midfielder for the summer with another new attacking player (my guess is a striker) 2nd on the list.

Saint-Étienne manager Pascal Dupraz on the Mateta links:
The more we talk about this player, the less he will come to AS Saint-Étienne. But what I can tell you. It’s that we have him on the phone regularly. There are rules to be observed, and it is still inappropriate to say that he will join us, but there is a will, and it is unanimous.

Conte on the talks between the club's chairman (Levy) and owner (Lewis):
I think that I’m sure that we want the best. We want the best for Tottenham and the first person who wants to improve the situation is our owner, and we will have time to speak together. Also, with the people that work in the club to try to understand the situation well, if there is the opportunity to improve the squad in this transfer market.

I think it will be a good opportunity after two months to speak about the situation that now is very clear for me and I know that everybody wants to improve the situation. We need time, patience and to continue to work in this way. We have two ways to improve the situation – improve the level of players we have in our squad and another opportunity could be to improve the quality of the squad. But January is not easy for anyone and we will see what happens.

We may bring in one player is the January window, but I am not really excited about anything this window. I will be shocked if I read Chelsea has signed a target other than a youth development player. We could really use some help from the injuries, but it would be loan as our injured are coming back.

As a result of the change of tone, when Lage was asked about specific players:

So Lage went from demanding players for 3 different roles to now not even confirming whether Wolves will permanently sign one of their better players that they loaned in.

Rangnick, once again, focuses on working with this current crop + some possible outgoings.
