Neves legitimately wouldn't be worth half of what he will cost.

Kamara is a decent player who I think may be a better CB long term.

If he didn't score screamers on the quasi-regular, no one would be asking for us to sign him. He's slow and immobile and not really someone who's going to control a midfield or improve us defensively. I feel like he actually goes missing a lot while Moutinho is the one making that Wolves team tick.

They want to sign him on loan, which seems unlikely to me unless Barcelona decide to cover part of Coutinho's wages. They might get to that point if they are still looking to register Ferran Torres into their squad.

Fiorentina director of football Daniele Prade on potentially bringing Torreira into Fiorentina:
We are very satisfied with Lucas’ performance and we will sit down with the English club at the right moment. There is an excellent relationship between the two companies and we will discuss it between the end of March and April.

Mohamed-Ali Cho is one of the most sought-after young players in Europe at the moment.

Why are we being tagged in a transfer between Roma and Arsenal? :wenger:
I wasn't even aware that Romano hashtagged MUFC into this. I only posted that Tweet because of Mourinho talking about loaning in a 2nd player.

It’s fine mate, I wasn’t questioning your post. Just curiously wondering why the #MUFC is there in his tweet but nothing related to us. But yeah probably makes sense if the second player is a United one

The full quotes:
It’s hard to predict what happens in any transfer window, but it’s certain that we won’t bring in a large number of new signings, and firstly we will focus on providing Lage with immediate back up at a time when all clubs are suffering with injuries and Covid issues, and at the same time give opportunities to our young players who have been doing so well out on loan...You’re always looking at the makeup of the squad and in recent years we’ve never been a football club that carries lots of players. We believe in giving the first-team the opportunity to play and be competitive, but also leave spaces for academy players to come through as well. It’s important we don’t stockpile and there’s a blockage.

January is always difficult because clubs don’t want to let players go, especially with the uncertainty of the current circumstances. It’s difficult to get the targets you want, and as a football club, we won’t buy players for the sake of it to make up numbers. We’d rather use the young players out on loan, and wait for our injured players to come back, than spend money on players who aren’t going to improve the squad we already have. Finding better players than what you’ve already got, as you go through the leagues and progress, is tougher. We’ve got a fantastic squad, whose mentality, work ethic, professionalism and focus is outstanding, and that’s why we’re in the position we are. Like any manager, Bruno is always looking to improve his squad and bring new players in, and better players, which would always be our target. If there’s someone who is going to enhance the squad and team, then of course we will explore the option and see if we can make it work.

With Willy (Boly), Pedro, Jonny, Hwang and Yerson all still to come back, we won’t do anything knee-jerk just to cover absentees until their return and then be left with new signings that are not able to get a game and become down or disruptive. We must be patient and if the opportunity arises for us to make a meaningful addition to the team then we will, but not at the expense of our overall squad and its morale and makeup.

Hickey would be a great pickup for Villa. He's been alright for Bologna, but he's one of their key players at such a young age.

Several Championship and League One clubs are interested in Galbraith, who's had a good loan spell at Doncaster. United can recall Galbraith in the middle of the Doncaster spell via a provision in the contract should they choose to put Galbraith into a more competitive environment.

@mazhar13 can't help himself, unfortunately, he's a truly addicted transfer muppet. He's had a hardon for the Rudiger situation for months. It's a sad case :(

I posted this yesterday too, but can we keep the chat to a minimum in this thread, please. React to news, and if you think it warrants a back and forth, start a thread.

This thread is one of the few places spared from inane chat, don't spoil that.

--> There have been talks between Hinteregger and Gladbach
--> Hinteregger is not (!) not for sale, the door is open - even for a quality player
--> Frankfurt already has a replacement in mind - Gladbach needs Ginter successor

All that's left is an official confirmation from the clubs themselves.

Is he expected to play? Looking at the table, Napoli are in a good place. Injuries. Under performing player? Afcon absences?

They only have 3 CBs in their squad after Manolas left them. With Koulibaly gone to AFCON and Rrahmani in quarantine, Tuanzebe will get enough playing time there.
