Why risk it when he's already playing all the time and performing well?

This is so true. If he doesn't fit in quickly it's 5 months wasted. So typical of our loan moves though.

So what if Swansea are bottom half. He's playing all the time and playing well.

He could cement a place with Bournemouth and get Pl experience there next year.

You'd have to assume there's been affirmative noises made about his chances of starting. They play a 4 rather than a 5, so he'll get to show his defensive qualities a bit more....you can see the logic.

I'm hoping he'll get the chance to be the backup right back for us next season. He's easily the most technically gifted of our full backs and the biggest threat going forward, it's just a question of whether he can make the step up and stay clear of injuries of course. If Ralf is still managing or someone very similar, I don't see why Laird isn't part of the first team.

Yeah, I see that logic, if he's a nailed on starter (which he is for Swansea) it could be pretty important for him to get that experience as a full back in a team that's dominant in the league.

  • Tottenham & West Ham are interested in Adama Traoré.
  • The release clause is a problem for the player's reps.
  • £20m should be enough for Traoré.
  • Wolves to recall loanees
    • Dion Sanderson - replaces Saïss
    • Ryan Giles (winger)
  • No recall for Morgan Gibbs-White

Apparently the Bournemouth loan for Laird will include a loan next season, too.

He wont like the winter months in Toronto.

He is 30..far too young for the MLS.
Giovinco moved to Toronto when he was 28 and getting minutes for Conte's Juventus. Giovinco also talked about how great Toronto was as a city, especially given the Italian contingent in the city. If Insigne has no other option, I don't see why he wouldn't want to move to MLS.

We should be all over that for 20m.

I wonder if the myth that is Adama Traore will ever cease.

Yes Ralf, let’s get Zakaria in, could have a really big impact here.

I know he was super highly rated a couple of seasons ago, but has he kicked on or has he stagnated as a player?

Imo he’s still one of the best DM talents around, he’s a player that needs that next move to a bigger club, lots of clubs interested including the likes of Bayern shows he’s still a real talent.

I think he would work great with Ralfs system, if indeed we are going to stick with that for the longer term.

If all these players aren’t leaving how they heck do we have any space for new additions? The squad is huge.
This is why I'm not expecting much transfer activity from United in January. At most, we'll bring in one player for the first team, and that's only if we sell/move someone on.

Yeah I get the appeal of Zakaria for the 6m
price quoted - low risk high reward with the potential if he can stay fit - and allows us to focus on our main target in the summer - Maybe Mata, Martial and Jones going would be enough to free up space for him - but Alvarez makes no sense to me if Lingard, Cavani et al are staying unless we just think he’s too good to miss. We already have Elanga to replace Martial.

If I'm not mistaken he got injured pretty bad on his knee, did an operation on it and never been the same

I haven’t seen a massive amount of him this season but when I have he still impresses me, that said I’m so desperate for a DM to be finally signed by us I could be easily impressed.
