Couldn’t give a shit where Ronaldo goes, he’s not a United legend and never will be!
Same thoughts here mate, he was a good player in his time here but in truth he is a Real Madrid and Portugal legend.

Maybe, just maybe, he wants to join City because they are more competitive than United? And pay him higher wages. Have you at least considered this possibility?
Calm yourself down…. And then find where I said he would want to join us over them :wenger: I said we SHOULD offer and see if he wanted to rejoin. Didn’t imply any of the things you said. Also made the point with his wage, maybe we wouldn’t offer him the sort of money he wants and that’s why we haven’t offered for him. So get of off your high horse.

The more I think about the more I think it has to happen . Ronaldo is desperate to find a new club and there are not many options. City are desperate for a striker . Worst thing for us is that City get Ronaldo now and will then be leading the Haaland chase. Lose lose for us in every way

Every chance that happens and we are left scrabbling around for what's left

This is all because of Levy.

If Kane had gone to City. Ronaldo could've moved to United. 100%

Must admit i’d be disappointed if CR joined City. If he wants another CL before retiring, City is a better bet than Juve. I just can’t see it though, probably because i don’t want to see it….

I remember i was surprised when Schmeichel joined City aswell, even though that was a different City altogether. I can’t help but think that i would have thought more fondly about Schmeichel had it not been for his City spell.

Haha we get Sancho and Varane and the window is still an absolute joke because City just get that much stronger.

City and Chelsea. If Chelsea get Lukaku, Kounde and Nigez then they’ve had a better window than us. We need a midfielder and if we don’t get one with so many well priced ones around, it would be an absolute joke. I hope these Ronaldo to City rumors spark some action because fans are not gonna be happy.

What horse? I don’t have one in this race

I think I am in the minority when I say I don't care if Ronaldo joins city. Obviously better not to. But meh. I don't think he loves us as much as say Evra etc.

We had a good start to the window and then just...petered out, as Neville put it, because we just can't sell players efficiently.

The teams we had to 'beat' in the market were City, Chelsea and Liverpool. Two of the three look likely to end up with better windows than us, meaning we fall that little bit further behind. That's before you even start on managerial/coaching quality.

Chelsea getting a legit 9, looking very likely to sign Kounde and maybe even add Saul to an already stacked and really balanced midfield puts them over us.

City with Grealish and Ronaldo add two legitimate world class talents to the best squad in the league. I know it's become popular to shit on Grealish, but he's a brilliant player.

Just a bit of a shitter really, especially coming off the back of the Southampton reality check.

No midfielder will cost us big time sadly and mean we won't see the best of our signings until we bring one in

Yeah a day to forget and can see us getting a crappy champions league draw now just to round things off nicely, glad you brought up the point about the lack of coaching quality at the club because that gets badly lost on some people

Champions League winners add Lukaku and Premier League winners add Ronaldo. We still haven't addressed a position where we are far worse than any of the rest of the top 4 and 1 of our starting midfielders has just gotten surgery. Honestly, the gap between us and City/Chelsea feels absolutely huge now. Also feels like the pressure on Ole has gone up due to signing Sancho and Varane. Suddenly feel very pessimistic about our season. 3rd feels like the best case scenario and I assume most would see this as a failure since it's 1 spot lower than we finished last season.

Honestly speaking third is about the best we can do and Liverpool look stable again so, with Matic ambling about in midfield, it will be a fight for fourth with Leicester. Our midfield was the worst in the top five and we have just lost McTominay, God help us.

I doubt that we're interested.
Me too however it would make sense to rotate Rondaldo and Cavani at Striker rather than Martial and have Greenwich play RW with Sancho.

We're not smart enough to think like that plus I imagine if we had any funds ole and our fanbase would want it to be spent on a midfielder.

Mason looked great up front against Leeds. Don't see any need to sign Ronaldo, especially when we have such a glaring weakness in another position. Sucks that he's going to City though.

Agreed. A midfielder and Trippier would be ideal, but the team should be a lot stronger already with Cavani, Varane and Sancho playing.
