To be honest, Laporte was always mentally weak. His problems with France NT, when he bottled his first City transfer because he was too comfortable in Bilbao, huge mistakes in big CL games, zero leadership on the pitch... I think he will stay for another season but if some non-PL team offered £45m+ then I'd sell him, no doubt.

I think Lingard plus 30M should help us land Rice (Lingard is 30M, so the deal is worth 60M which I think should be a fair fee for Rice)

But of course West Ham would want something close to 90M

£50m plus Lingard gets Rice I reckon. Then West Ham buy Bissouma with the money.

Laporte's just posturing for slightly fatter brown envelopes under the table.

Just trying to reason why this transfer wouldnt happen :) I’m very sure Ole wouldnt drop Henderson after all thats happened and therefore we wont go for Oblak

I’m not so sure he’s convinced by Henderson. Also, Henderson is really arrogant and maybe rubs people the wrong way.

Anyway, I’d definitely consider getting rid of both De Gea and Henderson.

De Gea > Atletico
Oblak > Utd
Henderson > Spurs or West Ham
Donnarumma > PSG

You heard it here first!

In his interview with The Telegraph he confirms what we have exclusively in @elchiringuitotv a few weeks ago. Laporte is not happy with the minutes he has played this season at City and would be open to an exit. Barça likes him a lot. Of course, you have to look for the formulas

We couldn't, could we?

Laporte is a top class defender, not sure why there are some fans demeaning him and his ability?
It's quite funny if he goes and they're left with Stones. I mean Ake is more capable than Stones in my opinion but neither as good as Laporte.

They have Dias too mate and Stones is usually his partner. They can easily buy up another defender if they have to sell Laporte

I’d definitely take Bissouma. I think a window of
Sancho
Bissouma
CB (Varane/Kounde/Torres)

is definitely achievable with a few outs like Lingard, Pereira, Dalot etc

We’d probably still be short of City overall but we’d have a very healthy squad, especially with the likes of Diallo and Hannibal looking good when given a chance. We’ve also got Garner and Pellestri with successful loans.

Let’s just hope that we still definitely buy a defensive midfielder.

Come on Aymeric swap blue for red because don't need to move house and will forget all about that League Cup final thing. Makes we wonder if this is maybe why we saw that article about Varane on Wednesday that was linking City to him

Yeah, from that doesn't look like he is going anywhere

Was clear to me from before the final. In his pre match interview, he was asked directly what he still wants to achieve. He said ‘win the Premier League’ specifically.

Where do you see him being deployed next season primarily, I don't know how him and Fernandes and Rashford can coexist in the team without impacting one of them adversely as well as the balance of the team Solskjaer needs to take some tough calls.

My thinking is the same as yours. Some tough choices are needed.

Net spend or not, we would be lucky to get more than three of those positions for £150m if you look at the rumoured targets for each position.

Can’t see us making more than £100m in player sales this summer either barring any surprises.

Not saying this is true, but a net spend of 150 million coupled with player sales would mean us spending north of 200 million this summer. I am not as pessimistic as most of the others on here but this seems a bit too good to be true kind of situation.
